"The glory of Shrek Academy must not be smeared by anyone! Today, I challenge you!

"If you lose, you will publicly apologize to Shrek Academy, then kill yourself to atone!"

Ye Xinglan seemed unable to hear what Lan Kai was saying anymore. Or rather, she had stubbornly decided that Lan Kai was nothing but a sinner who had come to insult Shrek Academy, and sinners had to be executed to restore the academy's reputation.

Lan Kai sighed. Though he still wanted to give Ye Xinglan a beating, his mindset had quietly changed.

Before, his fight with Ye Xinglan could still be called a battle between two people—or, more precisely, two Soul Masters. Now, however, it had become a battle against a mindless monster, and he couldn't even kill his opponent.

"Ugh, I'm afraid there's no way to reason with someone like this. I wonder if a beating would work.

"Still, even if that kind-hearted warrior showed up, I bet he'd skip the reasoning and use Corona Mode to solve the problem... right?"

But over the past few days, Silver Moon Dog Donkey Cai Yue'er, the dean of Shrek Academy's outer court, had personally come to Skysea City to oversee the Shrek Academy team's training, raising their workload to unprecedented levels.

Even Xu Lizhi, a food-type Soul Master, had been starved nearly to skin and bones. Naturally, Ye Xinglan wasn't in the best mental state either.

Now her already shaky mental state had taken a beating from Lan Kai in every sense of the word, making matters worse and plunging her into even deeper confusion.

So she simply fell back on her most basic instinct: just attack and be done with it!

Unable even to gather the Star God Sword Intent she was proudest of, Ye Xinglan charged Lan Kai again, thrusting her longsword forward to run him through.

Lan Kai shook his head and used Ultra Psychokinesis to conjure a sword in his hand, knocking the Stargod Sword aside with a single strike.

"It's not the Orb Holy Sword, but it's more than enough to deal with you.

"Your Stargod Sword might be a top-grade Martial Soul, but my sword is no less sharp!"

Three purple Soul Rings appeared behind Lan Kai, showing that he was taking the fight a little more seriously.

Ye Xinglan was already in a bad way. Without the support of her Sword Intent, her swordsmanship couldn't compare to Lan Kai's, who had been beaten into shape by Juggler. Her physical strength was inferior to his as well, and she was already teetering on the brink of defeat.

Just then, Lan Kai suddenly sensed a deadly threat. He looked up. A bright moon had appeared in the sky as the sun sank in the west, and a beam of moonlight came crashing straight down at him.

"Silver Moon Dog Donkey, I'll curse your whole family!"

Lan Kai cursed, knocked the Stargod Sword out of Ye Xinglan's hand, then pulled out the Ultraman card and held it in front of himself.

But in the next instant, Juggler appeared before him. He swept the Snake Heart Sword in a circle, and the beam of moonlight, with its terrifying force, vanished without a trace.

"Everyone, take a good look. This is how people from the greatest academy on the continent conduct themselves. Isn't that right, Silver Moon Douluo Cai Yue'er, dean of Shrek Academy's outer court?"

Juggler glanced back at Lan Kai. Seeing the card in his hand, he gave an inscrutable smile. Then he looked up at the top of a nearby streetlamp—or rather, at an old woman standing there, just like some golden-armored fellow.

"Juggler, you and your disciple dare insult Shrek Academy? I'll fight you to the death!"

For some reason, Cai Yue'er flew into a rage. Her ninth Soul Ring lit up, and terrifying Soul Power began gathering around her body. She was clearly prepared to disregard the lives of Skysea City's people and unleash a powerful ninth Soul Skill right there.

But in the next instant, Juggler appeared behind her. The imposing Soul Rings around her vanished without a trace, and her body froze for a moment before going limp. She toppled headfirst toward the ground.

"Elder Cai!"

Just as Cai Yue'er was about to land headfirst, destined to be "planted" in a trash can like the fifty-six Soul Masters Lan Kai had taken down, a white-haired woman in dark green clothes suddenly rushed out of the crowd. She caught Cai Yue'er and saved her from her fate of being stuck in a trash can.

"Don't worry. I only used the back of my blade. She'll live."

Juggler landed gracefully and looked at the white-haired woman holding Cai Yue'er. He smiled as he reassured her.

"Thank you for showing mercy, Your Excellency Snake Heart!"

"No need. You'd better go check on your students. They're all nearly driven mad by their training."

In response to the white-haired woman's thanks, Juggler merely waved a hand, seeming quite eager for them to get lost.
