Background / History

The Angel God King first contacts Qian Xunji when the Oath of the Angel reacts to his Six-Winged Angel power and pulls his soul into a golden spiritual realm. Sensing that Qian Xunji is an otherworldly anomaly, he initially interrogates him; Qian instead voluntarily shows him memories of an alternate world and the Angel Clan's fate there. The God King becomes enraged by the reduced status of that world's Angel God and the treatment of Qian Renxue, then accepts Qian Xunji as an inheritor and grants him the Nine Angel Trials 14.

He regards the two worlds as homologous planes separated by a breakable barrier. He intends for Qian Xunji to carry the Angel Clan's vengeance into the alternate world when the realms eventually clash 15.

After dispatching Qian Xunji and Huang Tian to investigate the Surface World, he receives intelligence on its divine inheritances and God Realm Committee. He recognizes that the other Inner World God Kings are interested in devouring counterparts with matching divine origins, a development that could overturn the existing balance among the Five Great God Kings 41 42.

The Angel God King assigns Qian Xunji to disrupt the other God Kings' plan to establish God-Descension Vessels in the Surface World. His instructions are to locate and kill the vessels selected by their divine senses, severing the bridges through which they would siphon the other world's laws and Divine Origin 43. He also supports Qian Xunji's scheme to direct the God King of Goodness's inheritance toward Qian San 55.

His relationship with Qian Xunji deteriorates as Qian begins acting beyond his control. Qian uses the God King’s remaining attacks stored in a divine right-arm bone to force open the interworld rift, then escapes to the Surface World 267. Later, the Angel God King publicly admits that the Inverse Celestial Balance—the artifact he once shattered—may be reassembled by Qian Xunji, prompting him to bow before the other God Kings in alarm 300.

By the time Qian Xunji completes the Surface World's Angel God inheritance, he possesses the Oath of the Angel beyond the Angel God King's reach. The other God Kings openly question the Angel God King's diminished strength and political value now that both of his Super Divine Artifacts are gone 312.

The Angel God King is intensely proud of the Angel Clan's bloodline, purity, and historical status. Learning of Qian Renxue's alternate fate drives him into a destructive rage; he treats any perceived humiliation of the Angel lineage as a personal insult 14.

He is also calculating and politically guarded. He recognizes that the other God Kings would use the parallel world to devour their counterparts and become stronger than him, so he uses Qian Xunji as both an operative and a counterweight to their ambitions 42 43. He habitually views lower-realm figures as pieces in a larger divine conflict 267.

Despite his authority, he can be visibly shaken when his own schemes turn against him. The possible restoration of the Inverse Celestial Balance leaves him anxious enough to humble himself before his fellow God Kings, while the loss of the Oath of the Angel exposes his dependence on artifacts for deterrence 300 312.
