Background / History

Tang San enrolled at Nuoding Academy and entered Dormitory Seven, where he asserted himself against Wang Sheng. Xiao Wu subsequently surprised him by establishing herself as the dormitory's strongest resident. He also took Yu Xiaogang as his master during his enrollment period 4.

After completing Sea God Island's Seventh Trial, Tang San returned at level 83 with a weaker set of rings and bones than expected. Seeking to become a Titled Douluo quickly enough to revive Xiao Wu, he and the Shrek group entered the Star Dou Great Forest. With the Titan Giant Ape and Sky Azure Bull Python's help, he found suitable prey, reached level 91, and restored Xiao Wu 136.

His pursuit of divine inheritance continued through the Sea God Trials. He defeated the Soul Devouring Demon Octopus King for the Eighth Test, reached level 99, and fought the newly ascended Qian Renxue. Afterward, he accepted Poseidon's sacrifice as the cost of the final trial and completed the Sea God inheritance 167 168 173.

Tang San later inherited the Asura God Position and departed for the God Realm with Xiao Wu and his parents. Twenty years later, he returned to Douluo Star to support his former Shrek companions' paths toward godhood and to protect his parents' interests there 196 204 252.

Appearance

Tang San is associated with the Clear Sky Hammer, the Blue Silver Emperor, and later the Sea God Trident. His divine transformations include a complete Sea God Armor set and the Sea God Eight Wings 131 173.

Personality

Tang San is intensely loyal to the people he regards as family. His determination to revive Xiao Wu drove his urgent pursuit of Titled Douluo status, and he later risked infiltrating Spirit City alone to rescue Yu Xiaogang 136 185.

He is also resolute in battle and willing to accept severe costs for greater goals. He accepted Poseidon's necessary sacrifice to complete the final Sea God Trial, and later detonated all nine Clear Sky Hammer Soul Rings in an unsuccessful attempt to overcome Wang Xiaofei 168 180.

In later events, he is repeatedly portrayed as confident in his authority as the Asura God and God Realm Enforcer. His confrontations with Wang Xiaofei are marked by mutual distrust, disputes over interference in Douluo Star, and Tang San's refusal to make his own sect techniques public 238 239 253.
