The corridors on the upper floors of the Spirit Pagoda were spacious and quiet, with only Su Chen's footsteps echoing through them.
Su Chen gently pushed open the door to Leng Yaozhu's office.
Dusk was settling in. Outside the window, the lights of Shrek City flickered on one by one, outlining its bustling streets.
Leng Yaozhu seemed to have had some kind of meeting today. She had changed out of the fiery red dress she usually wore and was now dressed in a neatly tailored black skirt suit.
With the day's work done, Leng Yaozhu was lounging on a leather sofa, her slender, fair fingers holding an exquisite bone-china cup as she sipped her coffee.
Her long, shapely legs, clad in sheer black stockings, were crossed, one resting over the other. A black high heel dangled loosely from her toes, swaying gently.
At the sound of the door, Leng Yaozhu lifted her eyes and glanced at Su Chen as he walked in. "What, did you make your junior sister mad again?"
As the Spirit Pagoda's vice tower master, she naturally knew all about what was going on between Su Chen and Gu Yue.

Su Chen choked on his words and paused mid-step, a flicker of embarrassment crossing his face. Then he slowly sat beside Leng Yaozhu.
Leng Yaozhu set down her coffee and gave Su Chen a light, exasperated look. "Girls need to be coaxed. Anyone can see she obviously likes you. Why aren't you going to make it up to her? Why do you keep coming to
