The Power of the Elements
Because Zul'ra itself is Witch Doctor and has a considerable magic foundation, Drek'Thar cannot teach Thrall or Palkar step by step. Instead, it must first explain the concept, technology, and technical certification process of Shaman clearly. 🎉✌ 👣♔
After explaining the main practice process of Shaman, Drek'Thar further guided him, allowing him to feel the three souls in his body, the movement of his body, his perception of the outside world, and the emotions hidden deep in his heart.
The foundation of Zul'ra is much thicker than that of Thrall. I previously studied at Zandalar, and also studied at Druid and Monk. As well as some religious theoretical knowledge in previous lives, he successfully reached the standard of becoming Shaman with almost no trials. He saw a transparent Worg with pointed ears next to Drek'Thar's legs.
Transparent Worg is the soul of the deceased Frostwolf. Its name is Sharp Ear. It was Drek'Thar's partner. It died in a battle to liberate Orcs. However, after that, its soul still stayed with Drek'Thar to assist him.
Zul'ra tried to have some communication with Sharp Ear. Although this Frostwolf is in a soul state, it is the same as those living Frostwolf. The only difference is that, he can feel Frostwolf's emotions, feel its attachment to Drek'Thar, and can also express his friendliness to it. These abilities are already the threshold for crossing the path of Shaman.
Although he had already started, Drek'Thar still asked Zul'ra to go through a trial, trying to integrate life, thinking and feeling into one in the illusion scene, and then the soul separated from the body, but the trial did not achieve the desired result.
Zul'ra saw a terrifying scene in the illusion. Scourge rushed into Zul'Aman, and Lich King came to him in person. Then the illusion changed again. Meteors and fire rain fell from the sky, and countless demons poured into the world. The overwhelming aura of destruction was extremely real, making people feel that they were there, but it was of no use. They were all fake.
"Drek'Thar, tell me, did Thrall's soul really leave the body?" After Zul'ra passed through the illusion, he did not imagine that it was an out-of-body scene, so he couldn't help but raise an objection to Drek'Thar.
"What do you think?" Drek'Thar asked in deep thought.
"Illusion, Thrall feels that his soul has left the body. That is actually a real illusion. His soul is actually still in the body, but there is an illusion of leaving the body, and then he "sees" the surrounding environment, which forms the illusion of the soul leaving the body." Zul'ra put forward his own idea.
"Why do you have such a suspicion?"
"Because there is also research on the soul in voodoo. Although it is not as profound as Shaman's insight, it is still clear that the body and soul are two sides of the same body that are dependent on each other. I have some abilities that allow me to let my spiritual vision leave my side during meditation." Zul'ra made some remarks. He once used the mask of God of Tigers to face the gloomy and indifferent dark world, and gained the ability of spiritual vision.
"And our Loa usually projects directly into people's spiritual and soul vision when they arrive. I have even come into contact with some beings who can create an illusory world in the soul." Zul'ra thought of Loa, and Naga Sea Witch who trapped the soul with a curse. Mepgira, and G'huun and Med'an who pulled themselves directly into the illusion.
"Maybe your guess is right, but you can't say for sure. The soul is very mysterious, and we can't see its whole picture yet." Drek'Thar listened to Zul'ra and couldn't help but nodded.
"I hope we can see his whole picture one day." Zul'ra felt that there were too many mysteries in the human body. He once studied blood, but later he discovered that his knowledge of blood was too shallow and he could not enter at all.
"You have a strong thirst for knowledge. I hope you can succeed. Next, let's talk about Shaman's way!" Drek'Thar listened to Trolls's sigh, and the canines at the corners of his mouth were slightly raised.
"Of course." Zul'ra pulled his energy back.
In fact, Shaman's introduction can also be regarded as a way to obtain magic power, but the difference is that Drek'Thar has developed a method for people to actively obtain magic power. Obtaining magic power is one thing, and using magic power is another.
Obtaining magic power relies on the analysis of one's own soul, so Shaman uses magic power through the understanding of all things in the world. Shaman believe that everything has souls. They communicate with these souls, gain their recognition, and then borrow their power.
Shaman culture has a profound worship of natural phenomena. They believe that the world is composed of the five elements of earth, wind, water, fire and soul. The soul is everywhere, so they ask for protection from the four elements of earth, wind, water, fire and so on, and borrow their powerful power to defend against enemies.
Zul'ra follows the guidance of Drek'Thar, feel the ubiquitous elements of nature, feel their souls, listen to their voices, express their piety and wishes to them, and ask for their protection and help.
Soon, Zul'ra established a connection with the atmosphere, water flow, soil and wilderness spirits in the wilderness. That connection is the emotional communication at the soul level. He can convey his wishes to those elements, and the elements respond selectively.
Sometimes Zul'ra can push the waves of a lake without even moving a finger, but sometimes he can't even condense a drop of water. Drek'Thar is not surprised by this, and warns him not to use the power of elements indiscriminately before he is familiar with and learns to apply those powers, otherwise he will hurt himself.
Shaman is not immune to the elements. It is just like playing with friends. You may offend the other party unknowingly, and then conflict. It is very dangerous to conflict with the elements and trigger the anger of the elements. Drek'Thar told Zul'ra that there are many Shamans who were struck to death by lightning and lit themselves into torches.
Zul'ra spent most of his time learning to apply the power of elements from Drek'Thar. Although you have to be careful when staying with the elements, their power is extremely powerful. It is a trivial matter to destroy cities and level rivers. As long as you can get along well with the elements and know how to use their power.
Using the power of elements is a separate system. Junior Shaman can only rely on communication with the elements to ask them to act, but master Shaman can achieve higher communication with the elements, obtain the original power of elements from Elemental Spirits, and use incredible abilities.
Shaman people call those primitive elemental powers elemental auras, which they can use at will in nature, such as walking across vast sea waves as if on flat ground, diving into the abyss and breathing freely, using the power of elements to strengthen weapons and allies, summoning magma thunder to strike enemies, etc.
