Emerald Council
Watching the Druids of the Talon transform into a black crow and fly away with remarkable speed and decisiveness, Zul'ra and the others, after realizing what had happened, immediately turned to Naisha and whispered a question: how long would it take them to wait here? In other words, how long would it take for the Druid to find reinforcements, and would he run into trouble along the way?
"Don't worry! Those guys may always be living in a dream world, but their abilities are still reliable." Naisha didn't directly answer Zul'ra's question, but she expressed her trust in her compatriots. Yes, those Druid had been asleep for thousands of years, but when it came to lives, they wouldn't let her down!
Faced with Naisha's lack of a direct answer, Zul'ra couldn't help but grin. However, it turned out that his worries were unnecessary, because less than three hours later, a distant roar of beasts came from the western forest. Upon hearing the sound, the Furbolgs instantly abandoned their encirclement of Zul'ra and the others, and surged towards the direction from which the sound came like a tide.
"Impressive!" Zul'ra raised an eyebrow as she watched the Furbolgs disappear into the forest. Although she didn't know how the Druid did it, it was a good solution as long as they got out of trouble.
"You have a way to restore the ground to its original state, right?" Naisha breathed a sigh of relief as she watched the retreating Furbolgs, but looking at the cliff-like cracks in the earth around her, she couldn't help but ask Zul'ra.
"Of course." Zul'ra nodded without hesitation, then squatted down to close the crack in the ground. As for the Furbolgs that fell into the crack, well, their fate was to be buried under the yellow earth forever.
As they repaired the cracks in the ground, a black crow flew in from the west of the forest and landed in front of them, turning into a puff of gray smoke. Danar's figure emerged from the smoke, first surveying the surrounding ground, nodding in satisfaction before speaking to Zul'ra and the others.
"Amani'lai, now come with us. We used some tricks to lure away those Deadwood Furbolgs, and they are very likely to return." Danar finished speaking as quickly as possible, and without waiting for anyone to speak, he ran into the forest. This time, he did not transform into a black raven to fly.
Zul'ra watched as Naisha and the others walked ahead without a word, and then breathed a sigh of relief and beckoned his Tooth-Soldiers to follow. Led by Danar, the group quickly passed through the bushes and entered the deep forest.
A faint miasma permeated the forest, but fortunately, an experienced guide led the way. Zul'ra and the others followed closely behind Danar and soon successfully crossed a stream and left the forest. After traveling northwest for a while, they arrived at the Emerald Sanctuary in Felwood, located in a valley.
In the Emerald Sanctuary, the Druid of the Emerald Council entertained Zul'ra. Compared to the filthy and gloomy places he had seen along the way, the situation in the Emerald Sanctuary was much better, but still only slightly better. However, Zul'ra was quite content, as there was still clean water to drink. While resting in the Emerald Sanctuary, he asked the Druid about the pollution situation in Felwood.
The leader of the Emerald Council Eridan Bluewind, was a female Druid. She was a very serious Night Elves with purple hair and eyebrows and silver tattoos on her face. She was very polite to Zul'ra, who was concerned about the ecology of Felwood, and briefly explained the situation. The main source of Felwood's pollution was the Legion demons who invaded Third War.
Felwood originally not only the territory of Cenarius the Forest, but also a major battlefield of the Third War. After Cenarius was killed by Grom, who was manipulated by Mannoroth, the Legion's demons acted with impunity when they invaded the area, corrupting it with an evil artifact.
When discussing the reasons for Felwood's corruption, Eridan couldn't help but grit his teeth and accuse the Orcs. He said that if the Orcs hadn't killed Cenarius, Felwood wouldn't have become like this. Zul'ra listened with a embarrassed expression. Although he didn't agree with Eridan's words, he couldn't refute him, so he could only change the subject and ask what happened to Felwood afterward.
Faced with the rampaging demons, Lady Tyrande Whisperwind, the leader of the Night Elves, sought reinforcements as much as possible, awakening the sleeping Druid, including Malfurion, and breaking the Watcher's prison in the secret cave of Mount Hyjal, releasing Illidan and a host of other prisoners.
Tyrande's operation was a success. Not only did she detonate Nordrassil and kill Archdruid Malfurion, but Illidan, whom she released, also managed to kill the demons' commander and steal the evil artifact that had corrupted Felwood, with mysterious support. However, Felwood could never be the same again.
"We won the war, but Felwood can never be the same again." Eridan, too, was a Druid who had awakened from her slumber. She watched Malfurion sound his horn, summon the Elves, and win the victory, but the corruption of Felwood saddened her so much that she could no longer sleep peacefully. She gathered like-minded companions and formed the Emerald Council, dedicated to healing Felwood, but with little success.
"But there's always hope, isn't there!" Zul'ra comforted the heartbroken Elves. "Winning a war comes at a price, but at least we won. The world wasn't destroyed, so there's always hope."
"Yes, that's why I organized the Emerald Council in the hope of reviving this place, but our capabilities are very limited." Eridan was not good at expressing herself. Her purple face, adorned with silver tattoos, regained its indifference, and the golden light in her eyes nodded slightly at Zul'ra, expressing her gratitude for his encouragement and comfort.
"May I ask what methods you used to restore life here? Well, I have also studied Druid and highly admire the way of natural balance." Zul'ra looked at Eridan, whose expression had returned to its coldness, and gestured to her with his eyes, before changing the subject again.
"Hmm, where did you learn it? As far as I know, the Druid path was taught to our race by Cenarius. No one else in this world has learned it, except recently Sarn'do decided to bring Shu'halo into our ranks to strengthen the forces of nature." Eridan was somewhat puzzled. Where did the Trolls learn Druid knowledge?
"I learned my knowledge from the Zandalar, but compared to you, I think I'm missing a lot, because the Zandalar Druid knowledge was learned from Shu'halo a long, long time ago, before they forgot the Way of Nature," Zul'ra explained the origins of his knowledge.
"Oh, I see. I do seem to recall hearing Sarn'do mention that Shu'halo was part of the Natural Faction a long, long time ago, but they later forgot the Way of Nature. I just didn't expect that your race would still retain that knowledge." Eridan listened to Zul'ra's account of the origins, showing a hint of respect for the ancient nature of the Trolls race.
"Throughout history, we will experience many things, but there is one thing we must always focus on, and that is the present." Zul'ra looked at the respectful Eridan and nodded with a smile.
"Yes, Zul'ra Jin, you're absolutely right. Perhaps you have some good ideas about the pollution of Felwood..." Eridan looked at the smiling Trolls, a sense of anticipation rising in his heart, before beginning to describe the current state of pollution in Felwood.
