Worgen Curse
The bright moon shone its light upon the earth, a gentle breeze stirred the green mist in the forest, rustling the trees and releasing a fragrant aroma of grass and wood. It was such a beautiful night that Zul'ra pinched her cheek, a little uncertain. ☜💥 🍓🐧
"How could this be!" Zul'ra pinched her cheek, feeling a sharp pain. She was incredulous; wasn't she in a meditative state? Why was her face hurting in her mental world? Where was she?
Zul'ra felt a slight pain in her cheek as she walked out of the forest where she was staying. She found herself standing on a solitary cliff, on a black rock, where a huge animal was crouching, looking up at the bright moon above.
When the gaze fell upon it, the animal crouching on the black rock seemed to sense it. It stood still, turned its head, and revealed a long, pointed, wide-mouthed furry face. On its grayish-white nose and cheeks, a pair of bright green eyes shone.
The gaze of an eagle and the look of a wolf could be more fitting. Zul'ra looked at the man who had turned his head towards her under the moonlight and felt a chill run down her spine, but she did not flinch. Instead, she slowly moved closer.
"Hello." Zul'ra looked directly at the giant wolf, whose back was turned and head was turned away, and nodded with a smile. Although she didn't know what was going on, this should be the consciousness of the Scythe of Elune.
In response to Zul'ra's call, the giant wolf did not move its head, staring at him with its two blue eyes. Then it stood up from its crouching position, and then turned around at an incredible angle, with its body and tail hanging behind its head, emitting a low purring sound.
"You can't communicate with me?" Zul'ra looked at the giant wolf that was making a wary sound, her brow twitched slightly, and she involuntarily stopped in her tracks. In response to his words, the giant wolf lowered its body and took two small steps, then jumped off the rock it was using to hide in and slowly approached.
"I think there's nothing in this world that can't be resolved with words. Harmony is beautiful, and it's what everyone desires." Zul'ra watched the giant wolf slowly approach, suppressing the urge to turn and run. He only had two legs; running against a four-legged creature in this unfamiliar place would be too disadvantageous, and besides...
"Can't we talk?" Zul'ra looked at the approaching giant wolf, unconsciously curling his hands, which felt no pain, and calmed down again. He thought he had left the mental world, but in reality he was still in the mental world, just perhaps not in his own mental world.
Zul'ra thought her composure would give her a chance to communicate with the other party, but to her surprise, the other party bared its fangs like a forest fang and pounced with a roar.
"Get out of my way!" Zul'ra punched the giant wolf in the cheek, then leaped away. The injuries he had sustained at the Black Knight's place had completely disappeared; not only did his hand not hurt, but his agility was also unaffected.
The giant wolf was punched in the face. After tilting its head slightly to the side, it sprang up again and pounced on Zul'ra, who was leaping away. Caught off guard, it bit Sanra's right arm.
The giant wolf's teeth seemed like the fangs of a venomous snake, injecting a malevolent venom as they pierced the muscle. Zul'ra not only felt excruciating pain in her arm, but also felt as if a fire was burning inside her body, and her heart was filled with rage.
"Die!" Zul'ra slammed a punch into the giant wolf's head, unleashing a torrent of violent power. With a crisp crack, the wolf's skull was instantly smashed open, freeing the bitten arm from its wound. The flesh on the arm was a bloody mess, and the wolf was in excruciating pain.
"I..." Zul'ra clutched her arm, looking at the cold night around her and the wolf carcass at her feet. She couldn't help but feel a surge of anger and wanted to kick it a couple of times to vent her anger, but after thinking about it, she gave up.
"Poisonous." Zul'ra felt the pain in her arm and the flames in her body, and was shocked. She turned to clean the wound, but stopped after thinking for a moment.
"What the hell am I afraid of? This is the spiritual world!" Zul'ra twisted his neck and lightly wiped his arm. Sure enough, the wound was gone, but there was still blood on it.
"What's going on..." Zul'ra looked at the red blood in her palm, glanced around at the silent night wilderness, somewhat confused about the situation, but before she could finish speaking, she felt the burning sensation in her body continuing to spread.
It felt like there was a fire inside her body, burning away all her muscles and bones. Zul'ra collapsed to her knees, looking at her wrists. The pale blue skin on her wrists seemed to be stretched like a rubber ball. At the same time, she felt a sharp pain in both hands, her fingers shooting forward like popping beans, her nails growing longer and longer. The same was true for her spine, and her ribs seemed to be contracting.
"Worgen..." Zul'ra felt the strange changes throughout his body and couldn't help but open his mouth, but it was too late. He felt something growing in his mouth, a long-lost feeling. Fangs grew out of his mouth. This was the Worgen curse.
His entire body was being pulled by an invisible force. Not only did fangs grow out of his mouth, but Zul'ra also felt the bones in his face being cracked, his nose and cheeks stretching forward and his vision being pulled back. Pain tore at his spirit, and a surge of rage rose up like wildfire.
He couldn't lose consciousness. Zul'ra felt the distortion in his body and couldn't help but raise his head to the sky, wanting to vent his pain with a long howl, but he forcibly held back and maintained his consciousness. If his consciousness succumbed to pain and rage, his physical body might really turn into Worgen.
Zul'ra suppressed the urge to howl at the sky, gazing at the bright moon overhead, as if feeling its light looking down upon her. A sudden thought struck her: Elune, please save me!
As if in response, the bright moon in the sky shone down a beam of white light, enveloping the constantly deforming body. Zul'ra felt his body, which had been burning like fire, suddenly become cool. A little energy flowed into his body through the pores of his skin, allowing the muscles that had been stretched and deformed to quickly recover.
The clear moonlight shone on him, and Zul'ra felt much calmer. However, as if sensing his relaxation, the moonlight in the sky receded, the cool feeling receded like the tide, and a burning sensation rose from within him. His body twisted and deformed in pain once again, which frightened Zul'ra so much that he immediately cried out for help again.
The moonlight in the sky, accompanied by a plea, condenses into a pillar of light that shines upon him, stopping his transformation. However, if Zul'ra's mind relaxes even slightly, the moonlight will disappear, and his body will begin to transform into Worgen again.
"What does this mean?" Zul'ra sat in the pillar of light in the wilderness, looking up at the bright moon in the sky, his lips twitching. He felt there was a deeper meaning in this, but he couldn't understand it. Not only could he not understand it, but it seemed he couldn't leave this place either.
