Queen of the Undead
After signing the peace treaty with Quel'Thalas and formally deciding to enter the war, Zul'ra immediately ordered Cook to focus on training and instructed the council to prepare sufficient weaponry and supplies to arm the soldiers and for the war effort.
The campaign to retake Silvermoon City not only spurred the army into action, but also the Amani Council, as preparations for the campaign were being made not only by the Amani, but also by the Forsaken and Quel'Thalas.
The Forsaken and Quel'Thalas have placed several large orders, including weapons and armor, medicines, and food. In addition, the Amani themselves have their own needs, and their original reserves are far from sufficient, requiring them to manufacture and purchase supplies immediately.
The amount of supplies needed was originally quite difficult for Amani, even with its considerable reserves. However, fortunately, the Aman'Shuli Council successfully negotiated with the Goblins and brought in more than 300 Goblins slave laborers, and successfully ordered a large quantity of ores and herbs and other necessary raw materials.
The entire Amani sprang into action, with large quantities of weapons, medicine, and food being loaded onto ships and transported to where they were needed. Amidst this busy period, mid-August quickly arrived.
Zul'ra, calculating the time, sent someone to Quel'Thalas to remind him in advance, and then rode the giant stag Ku Mao'er, which had been brought back from Hinterlands, with several people including Bakaji and Lostro, and set off for the Dawnstar Spire.
The Dawnstar Spire is an outpost established long ago in Quel'Thalas, located on a magical node on the eastern shore of Lake Alendal. To the south lies the majestic mountains of Zul'Aman, and further south along the mountains is Battleaxe Ridge, the gateway to Zul'Aman. Zul'ra had been here once before, but she arrived by teleportation.
Because Zul'ra had given him advance notice, the Sin'dorei were already prepared to welcome him when he arrived at the Dawnstar Spire. As soon as he arrived, a ceremonial guard sprang into action, and Sin'dorei even helped him lead his mount.
Although the Sin'dorei were in dire straits, they still maintained their dignity. In the gold and red welcoming area, Rommath greeted Zul'ra and his entourage, and immediately introduced him to Lor'themar, the current interim regent of Quel'Thalas.
Unlike the well-dressed and slender Rommath, Lor'themar was a Sin'dorei whose face and demeanor were not particularly outstanding. If there was any distinctive feature, it was that his small left eye was pierced by a scar, which, combined with his military uniform, gave him a touch of fierceness.
After some pleasantries, Zul'ra was led into the Dawnstar Spire. Along the way, besides the Sin'dorei men and women in military uniforms, Zul'ra saw some Forsaken Undead with dark blue or pale skin and obvious stitches on their faces and wrists. She couldn't help but speak to Lor'themar.
"Your Highness Lor'themar, has Lady Sylvanas arrived?" Zul'ra addressed him as "Your Highness" to save face for the Sin'dorei. After all, even a temporary regent is still a regent. Faced with this form of address, the expressions of the Sin'dorei, including Rommath, softened a bit. No one likes to be disrespected.
"Sylvanas arrived here before you; she should be resting, Zul'ra Jin." Lor'themar had received special etiquette training before the meeting, so she wouldn't make any mistakes in addressing people and her manners were impeccable. She also briefly explained why she hadn't come to greet him, which earned her a series of winks from Rommath standing next to her.
"Oh, that's good. This time I won't miss it." Zul'ra didn't mind that Sylvanas wasn't there to greet him; he wasn't the kind of person who cared about pomp and circumstance. However, he had heard a great deal about the Forsaken Queen and had long wanted to meet her. He had regretted missing her when they last met on the battlefield.
"What did you miss?" Lor'themar failed to grasp Zul'ra's meaning.
"I mean, I shouldn't have missed your meeting!" Zul'ra changed the subject. The last time he narrowly escaped Sylvanas's hand was not a pleasant memory for Amani and Quel'Thalas, and it wasn't appropriate to bring it up at this time.
"No, no..." Lor'themar's right eye flashed green as it swept towards Rommath. Was the King of the Amani suspecting him of secretly colluding with Sylvanas?
Faced with Lor'themar's slightly suspicious gaze, Rommath shook his head slightly. He didn't quite understand Zul'ra's words either, but at this moment, it was better not to say too much and just leave it at that, as there were too many entanglements in the past between the two sides.
"When will our war council begin, Your Highness Lor'themar?" Zul'ra, realizing she had said too much, asked Lor'themar.
"If possible, we should begin immediately." Lor'themar displayed a decisive attitude. This operation was crucial for the Sin'dorei to retake Silvermoon City, and he wanted it to be completed as quickly as possible. However, he was also considering Zul'ra's well-being, fearing that he might need rest after arriving, and so on!
"Let's begin!" Zul'ra without hesitation; he wouldn't dawdle over something like this if he wanted to.
"Then let's go straight to the prepared operations room." Lor'themar was greatly impressed by Zul'ra's decisiveness. She glanced at Rommath with her one eye, and Rommath immediately understood and sent someone to inform Sylvanas.
In fact, Sylvanas didn't need to be notified; the Forsaken Queen was already standing in front of the map in the war room, before Zul'ra and Lor'themar. This was also the first time Zul'ra had seen her.
In the rather somber room, the female Elves stood before a military map. Even indoors, she wore a hood, beneath which was a clean, blue-white oval face with slightly cold, translucent skin, some cracks in her cheek muscles, silver-white eyes, a delicate nose, thin lips, and pale, dry hair hanging down to her exquisite collarbone beneath her shoulder armor, leading down to her lithe figure encased in armor.
Zul'ra carefully examined the female Elves before him. In terms of appearance alone, her face, now deceased, was not as beautiful as he had imagined. However, she possessed a unique charm that made people involuntarily recall her beauty in life when they saw her, thus drawing them in.
"The Warchief asked me to give you his regards." Sylvanas greeted the tall Trolls who had been staring at her ever since she entered. Her eyebrows, slightly golden and slanted out from under her hat brim, trembled slightly. As she spoke, the wrinkles on her cheeks creased up like snakeskin.
"Then remember to give my regards to the Warchief for me." Zul'ra looked at Sylvanas across from her, who had an unpleasant expression, and listened to her ethereal and cold voice. She answered indifferently. This Undead queen was disfigured, but her aura was superb. She not only attracted the attention of others, but also carried a cold and indifferent power, like Blackfathom Deeps attracting everything.
"..." Sylvanas listened to the Trolls's reply, her pale gold eyebrows lowered slightly, and a red light flashed in her silver-white pupils as she stared at him. How dare this Trolls speak to her like that? What did he take her for?
"Sylvanas, Your Excellency, what are you doing here?" Lor'themar was surprised to find Sylvanas waiting for her here. She was somewhat taken aback when she entered the room. It wasn't until Sylvanas spoke to Zul'ra beside her that she came to her senses. Seeing the two of them about to have a conflict, she almost subconsciously used her old form of address, but fortunately she corrected herself in time.
