Crossroads
Even though Zul'ra shamelessly tried to cheat Cairne Bloodhoof, the matter eventually reached Thrall's attention. Undoubtedly, what was mentioned in his document greatly surprised Thrall and led him to share Cairne Bloodhoof's thoughts. 🐍👹 🍭🐍
Even though Zul'ra knew that his insistence was the truth and that those guys were a bunch of idiots who had never seen science, he still couldn't help but feel a little impulsive when faced with their unanimous look of disbelief, and wanted to strangle Cairne Bloodhoof on the spot.
Despite being looked at as if she were crazy, Zul'ra insisted on her opinion and made a bet with Cairne Bloodhoof in resentment: if he could make steel float on water without magic, then Cairne Bloodhoof would agree to do something for him that was not against the laws of nature.
With the idea of having Cairne Bloodhoof publicly sing love songs outside Orgrimmar in mind, Zul'ra planned to build a model of a floating iron ship to slap them in the face, but this idea was temporarily put aside because there was already progress on the matter of Poison Mist Peak.
First, regarding the demons of Poison Mist Peak, Theramore responded. Jaina not only agreed to join the Horde in attacking Poison Mist Peak, but also prepared to personally participate in the operation, requesting that the Horde send someone qualified as well.
Thrall originally planned to personally participate in the operation against the Poison Mist Peak, but considering the matters facing the Horde and the progress Venture Company, he decided to postpone his trip.
Since the venture capital firm was adept at hiring gnolls to poach Kodo beasts in Mulgore and was also digging in the Mulgore mountains, the Horde sent a note to the goblins demanding that they immediately cease their actions that infringe upon the Horde's interests.
Those green-skinned dwarves didn't give in easily. If they had, they wouldn't be Goblins. Thrall personally wrote letters to Gazlowe and Mardi of Gadgetzan. As expected, the Steamwheedle Cartel readily seized the Venture Company's airship supplies. This gave the Horde face while also providing a reason to suppress this emerging group. Why not?
Besides Gadgetzan and Ratchet, the Venture Company can transport supplies through other places. However, the access road to Mulgore has been blocked by Magatha Grimtotem's men, and the animal herds, water sources, and other food sources near the Venture Company's base in Mulgore have been cleared and guarded by Hamuul Runetotem and his Druid. They will be trapped and die.
Although everything was going smoothly, to guard against unforeseen events, Thrall decided to stay in the center, so he couldn't go to fight the demon Zmodlor of Poison Mist Peak. This task ultimately fell to Zul'ra.
The Horde has many capable people, so why did it fall to Zul'ra? Mainly because he had dealings with Jaina, and he was the first to discover the matter of the Poison Mist Peak demon Zmodlor. Add to that his current "abnormal behavior," and who else would go if not him?
Faced with everyone's unanimous request, Zul'ra could only temporarily put aside her current affairs. After having Thrall urge the Horde currency to be used as soon as possible, she led a squad of Kor'kron guards into the the Barrens and rushed to the Crossroads where she had agreed to meet Jaina.
Crossroads is the intersection of the the Barrens 'Gold Road, with four intersecting paths leading to Ratchet, Stonetalon Trail, Silverwing Forest in Ashenvale, and the outposts of the Southfury River Basin. The Horde also established a settlement here.
When Zul'ra arrived at the outpost, Jaina was already waiting there with her guards.
"Long time no see, Jaina." Zul'ra first saluted the guards at the outpost, then greeted Jaina, who was waiting in a neat mage outfit.
"Yes! It's been a long time, Zul'ra." Jaina nodded and smiled in response.
"Do we have time to catch up?" Zul'ra looked at the increasingly beautiful young woman and couldn't help but feel a little uncomfortable.
"Yes, there are many. Come, let's talk inside. The sandstorm outside is too strong." Jaina smiled and led Zul'ra into the hut in the stronghold.
"What should we talk about?" Zul'ra sat down on an animal skin, looking at Jaina who seemed as happy as if she had found candy, and couldn't help but feel a little awkward. Although he and Jaina had some acquaintance, they didn't seem to have much in common.
"For example, Magena, I'm very grateful to you, Zul'ra, she has agreed to become an advisor to Theramore." Jaina looked at Zul'ra with a smile, revealing something.
"Huh?" Zul'ra thought Jaina would talk to her about the past, but instead she brought up the mysterious and eccentric female mage Magena. It wasn't surprising that Magna had joined Jaina's ranks. Although she refused to admit that she was Dalaran mage, she was definitely connected to Dalaran, and Jaina was also half Dalaran.
"Zul'ra, you don't know Magena, do you?" Jaina looked at the bewildered Zul'ra, slightly surprised.
"I don't know her." Zul'ra nodded honestly. The female mage's origins were unknown. He had brought her out of Mulgore because of her peculiar personality; it wouldn't be good to leave her there unattended. As for making her his advisor, letting a human of unknown origin handle the affairs of the Horde was hardly a wise move.
"Magena, Magena Aegwynn, do you know this name?" Jaina asked with a hint of excitement.
"Aegwynn? She told me her name is Magena Nielas Aran." Zul'ra was slightly startled by Jaina's words. To be honest, he didn't recognize the name Magena, but Aegwynn was different. Aegwynn was the mother of the Guardian Medivh and the previous Guardian. She was a very important person.
"From your expression, I can tell you know her. I heard from her that you refused to let her be your advisor." Jaina looked at Zul'ra's expression and felt instantly satisfied.
"Congratulations then." Zul'ra finally understood why Jaina's expression was as if she had found candy. It turned out that she had gained a powerful figure, a Guardian, or rather, a former Guardian. There was nothing to worry about.
"Why do you look so calm? Aren't you disappointed?" Jaina blinked, looking at Zul'ra's composed demeanor. How could she not be disappointed and heartbroken to have such a talented person slip away right under her nose?
"That Lady Aegwynn, I don't get along with her. Her offer to become my advisor was essentially a joke." Zul'ra shook his head at Jaina with a smile. As far as loyalty was concerned, he could not accept Aegwynn into the Horde.
"But Lady Aegwynn says she's serious," Jaina shook her head in defense of Aegwynn.
"And then?" Zul'ra asked, looking at Jaina was clearly a fangirl.
