Scheming and Intrigue
Brian is no different from when we saw him a few years ago. He looks short and stocky, with a thick brown beard on his face braided into three strands. He is still very talkative, unlike Bolvar who carries a burden.🌷♡ 🍔👌
Brann had already explored Silithus, which was to be expected; he always appeared where trouble was brewing. Brann had investigated the Scarab Wall, but he hadn't managed to get to the other side because most of his expedition members had perished in the desert. As a result, he was very cautious about the insectoids.
Although Brann was once again in trouble and did not reach the other side of the Scarab Wall, it was because of his caution towards the insectoids, coupled with various other factors, that the Dwarves of Ironforge dispatched a tank brigade and a mortar regiment to join the Seventh Legion. Otherwise, given their personalities, if they didn't owe anyone a favor, they would at most send two squads of musketeers as a token gesture.
After a brief exchange, with Brann acting as an intermediary, Zul'ra and Bolvar's communication became much smoother. Zul'ra inquired when the troops would be deployed to the front lines, while Bolvar said they would wait for the Feathermoon from Darnassus to arrive before making a decision.
Besides waiting for Advisor Feathermoon, Bolvar also hoped to exchange ideas with Zul'ra and obtain information on the Horde 'Warrior and Qiraji to facilitate arrangements on the battlefield.
When Bolvar asked for his advice, Zul'ra organized his thoughts and gave a brief description of the Horde of the tribe's 9,000-strong force: roughly Kor'kron, 6,000 Goblins mercenaries, and 500 Witch Doctor, Shaman, and Druid. The Goblins mercenaries possessed 1,000 muskets, 70 Shredder, and countless other weapons.
As Bolvar listened to Zul'ra's account, he discreetly glanced at Brann. Of the nine thousand men, only a third were regular soldiers and auxiliary Shaman; the rest were all Goblins mercenaries. This number seemed rather ominous compared to the Horde's population.
Brann gave Bolvar a look that left him puzzled, then grinned and asked Zul'ra about information on the Qiraji. Zul'ra countered by asking if the Allied Forces hadn't obtained any information from the Druid.
Bolvar took several stacks of papers from the table and handed them to Zul'ra, briefly explaining the situation: the Cenarion Circle had shared intelligence, but this intelligence was from six thousand years ago, and its accuracy was unknown.
If the data from 6,000 years ago is inaccurate, do you expect the data from more than 10,000 years ago to be accurate? Zul'ra took the data from the Cenarion Circle with a laugh. The Trolls fought the Azj'Aqir Emperor 10,000 years ago, and after the Azj'Aqir split into three parts, each of them underwent a certain degree of evolution.
Information from 6,000 years ago may not be reliable, and information from more than 10,000 years ago may not be accurate, but it still has some reference value. Brann's response was rather cunning.
In response to Brann's answer, Zul'ra gave an undeniable account and recounted the information the Trolls possessed. Even after tens of thousands of years, the Amani's records of the war against Azj'Aqir only revealed a few details.
Firstly, the insectoids have extremely strong resistance to mind control and possess powerful mental abilities, but they are not aggressive, only engaging in internal communication. This makes them obedient and fearless. Their society is divided into classes, and they are physically extremely aggressive.
In terms of mind control, the insectoids have also developed corresponding architectural abilities. For example, the Azjol-Nerub, the Scourge have fallen to the the Scourge, have built many of their Necropolis and flying fortresses, which are mostly modified or rebuilt. The Trolls have also learned from them, but only adopted their architectural style.
Besides the characteristics of the insectoids, the Trolls also knew their weaknesses. First, they had a strong hierarchical structure. When a low-level insectoid lost the command of its leader, it would panic. Therefore, headhunting tactics were necessary. Second, the insectoids' hard carapace and dense psychic abilities made them immune to most magic, but Incendiary Bomb could be surprisingly effective.
The above is a summary of the Trolls ' observations on the Aqir. The Qiraji should have some similarities, but this cannot be guaranteed to be absolute.
"Incendiary Bomb! Oh no, we didn't bring enough of that kind of ammunition for our tanks and mortars." Brann slapped his thigh suddenly as he listened to Zul'ra's words.
"Is it still possible to transport it now?" Zul'ra asked, watching the Dwarves's exaggerated movements.
"I don't know. By the way, Orgrimmar is nearby. Could your factory provide us with some?" Brann asked hopefully.
"Unless your tanks, mortars, and catapults are compatible with ours, I'm sorry." Zul'ra shook his head calmly. Brann's situation clearly indicated that he had doubts about the Horde's manufacturing capabilities, but he couldn't provide the Incendiary Bomb the Dwarves needed in the short term, so he built a few large airdropped contraptions for later use.
"Didn't you provide the coalition with a lot of armor and weapons?" Brann asked with a grin, looking at the composed Zul'ra.
"You still need armor and weapons? If so, we have some in stock. If that's not enough, we can order Goblins." Zul'ra glanced sideways, seemingly unconcerned. It was understandable that the Horde's manufacturing capabilities might raise suspicions, but he wasn't worried about that.
"How much stock does the Horde have left?" Bolvar blinked. The weapons Orgrimmar provided to the Allied Forces this time were truly beyond his expectations. He absolutely did not believe that they were all stock, as human weapons and armor sizes were completely incompatible with those of Horde.
"How much do you want? I need to make one thing clear beforehand: you must settle your accounts as soon as possible after the war ends. This time, the Horde has emptied its coffers for the war and owes the Goblins a large sum of money." Zul'ra asked the question very seriously. The Horde really did owe the Goblins money. Well, they still had a lot of steel ingots and ore stored up, but those things weren't worth much.
"This, never mind." Bolvar's expression stiffened slightly at the sudden pressure to pay, and Brann immediately shut his mouth as well.
"The Alliance won't renege on its promise, will it?" Zul'ra expressed her serious doubts.
"How could the Alliance renege on its debt? The Alliance will not owe you money, absolutely not." Bolvar assured him confidently, but his words contained no guarantee.
"Really?" Zul'ra looked at Brann.
"Really, we've already paid a deposit." Brann felt a chill run down his spine under Zul'ra's gaze. The Alliance had dumped so many weapons and food orders this time, and they hadn't thought Orgrimmar could possibly provide so much. But now that they had the weapons, they were very unsure about the bill they would have to pay.
"But that's not enough at all. You swear on the name of the Bronzebeard Clan." Zul'ra made an exaggerated statement, cornering Brann and demanding that he vouch for him in the name of the family.
