Dragons Join the War
After crossing the portal, Zul'ra found herself not transported to the time and place where she had disappeared, but back to the seaside rocky camp in Tanaris. Bolvar, Brann, and Shandris were waiting for her; they had all passed their test.
The three of them showed no sign of anything amiss, nor did they realize that Zul'ra had experienced a time-travel journey. They immediately asked him how the trial went, while Zul'ra turned his gaze to Anachronos beside him. The Bronze Dragons, whose work had gone awry, naturally stepped in to intervene and announced that everyone had passed the test.
"Warriors, take our blessings with you and fight for this world!" Anachronos announced the results while handing Bolvar a golden short-handled scepter, solemnly entrusting him with these words.
"We will." Bolvar, having undergone a trial, had developed some awe of dragons. He humbly accepted the Scepter of the Shifting Sands and accepted its entrustment, but Zul'ra beside him objected.
"Aren't the dragons going to fight?" Zul'ra listened to Anachronos's words and couldn't help but feel a little annoyed. Unlike Bolvar and Brann, who had some more awe in their hearts, he had gone with Chromie twice and had a better understanding of the Bronze Dragons.
The Bronze Dragons race is a huge plot hole. Zul'ra was afraid that those guys would find out about his transmigrator identity, thus incurring their hostility. But after encountering those guys, he realized he had been overthinking it.
First, Zul'ra discovered during his interactions that his existence was normal for history, at least for the history he was currently experiencing. This meant that his identity was legitimate. Neither the Infinite Dragons nor the Bronze Dragons had discovered that he was a time traveler, or perhaps they had, but they simply didn't care, as long as Zul'ra didn't alter the history that had already occurred for him.
Secondly, while the Bronze Dragons are a bug, they are not invincible. They also suffer from the same problems as intelligent beings, and are not omniscient or omnipotent; they are beings that can be defeated.
Third, the Bronze Dragons have not yet discovered the situation of the Infinite Dragons, but both have regarded each other as irreconcilable enemies. This situation means that there is no absolute history or justice between the Bronze Dragons and the Infinite Dragons. What one side wants to protect, the other side will definitely destroy. Therefore, between them, Zul'ra is no longer worried about the issue of identity, but should be worried about the issue of choosing sides.
Based on the principle that the Bronze Dragons and the Infinite Dragons are irreconcilable enemies, both of them are insane. However, Zul'ra chose the Bronze Dragons as allies instead of the Infinite Dragons because the Bronze Dragons' current stance at least shows a commitment to protecting the world, while the Infinite Dragons' stance is still under discussion.
Fourthly, there is the relationship between the Bronze Dragons and the Infinite Dragons. The Bronze Dragons themselves may not have realized it yet, but Zul'ra knows it very well. The so-called Infinite Dragons are actually the Bronze Dragons who have gone mad. The Infinite Dragons "Anachronos" that attacked him may be the future of the Bronze Dragons Anachronos beside him now, rather than some disguise.
Because the future of the Bronze Dragons is somewhat uncertain, Zul'ra is currently siding with the Bronze Dragons regarding his allegiance. However, if there are any changes in the future, he will not refuse to side with the Infinite Dragons.
Based on the above understanding, Zul'ra changed his previous wariness towards the Bronze Dragons and instead became more calculating. Whether he stood with the Bronze Dragons or the Infinite Dragons, it was all for his own benefit.
"... Of course we'll join the war. You go first, we'll be there shortly." Anachronos was somewhat taken aback by Zul'ra's direct question. He had been testing these mortal allied commanders and staff, but Zul'ra was the only one not included. His approach had gone wrong, and these issues meant he knew nothing about Zul'ra.
"Then I think you need to hurry. The allied forces need some cooperation. As a member of the allied forces, the dragons should not fight alone." Zul'ra did not give the dragons any face. These big guys are not very strong in combat. The only problem is that they have special life. Those four dragonmen are like they have locked blood. They can't be killed for a long time, but they are injured by a single stab from the Continuum Blade. It's like brine curdling tofu. One thing can subdue another.
"This..." Anachronos was somewhat speechless.
"I agree with Zul'ra Jin's opinion." Brann followed Zul'ra's words. He had experienced the trials set by the Bronze Dragons and had some awe of the dragons' abilities, but only for Bronze Dragons abilities. He believed that the Bronze Dragons themselves were not to be feared. His thoughts were similar to Zul'ra's, but he lacked some specific understanding.
"You don't need to worry about that. We'll be there when needed." Anachronos adjusted his mindset, maintaining the aloofness befitting a dragon.
"No, what we mean is, you'd better stay with us." Zul'ra ignored Anachronos's aloofness.
"I support Zul'ra Jin's view." Bolvar glanced at Zul'ra and expressed his opinion as well. Dragons may be powerful and respectable, but on the battlefield, it is best to coordinate with the allied forces.
"Is there any inconvenience with dragons?" Although Shandris was on good terms with the Kaldorei, she couldn't openly oppose the opinions of her three colleagues, and considering the necessity of the allied victory, she asked Anachronos tactfully.
"How do you need us to cooperate in the operation?" Anachronos was not good with words, but he eventually made a concession. He would first join up with the allied forces and coordinate, instead of acting like a policeman in a crime movie, either standing out on the battlefield or arriving late.
"To deal with the Qiraji, the Horde has developed some weapons that require strong aerial support, and dragons should be able to provide that support." Seeing Anachronos agree, Zul'ra couldn't help but smile. Outside of their area of expertise, dragons are actually quite easy to talk to; although they can be a bit arrogant towards mortals, they are also very tolerant.
Upon hearing Zul'ra's words, Bolvar, Brann, and Shandris all wore somewhat strange expressions. They hadn't expected Zul'ra to actually include dragons in the war effort and even have a plan for their arrangement. However, they didn't blame her for this or spout any nonsense about dragons being superior to mortals, since this war concerned the safety of the world.
The dragons didn't perform very well in the last War of the Shifting Sands either. They initially refused to join the Kaldorei's anti-insect army, and it wasn't until the insectoid army reached Tanaris and stormed into the Caverns of Time stronghold in the mountains that they finally woke up and joined the battle. In the end, they and the Kaldorei paid a huge price to seal away the Ahn'Qiraj.
On one hand, the dragons are not capable of fighting Ahn'Qiraj alone, and this matter concerns the safety of the world. Therefore, Anachronos said he would persuade the dragons involved in the war to help the allied forces.
