Sangla had no interest in how Monsens had ended up a slave. At first, he had merely noticed the faded red scarf tied around Monsens's neck and made a few guesses. Then, seeing that Mondoar's price was not high and thinking that the Amani needed to get some construction done as well, he had accidentally bought this human architect.

Once he understood Monsens's identity, Sangla tried asking whether it might be possible to hire Defias—no, the Defias Brotherhood. Those people were quite capable, a proper construction crew, and they looked far more reliable than that Goblin Korgar.

Monsens rejected Sangla's idea without a second thought. Before he had been captured and made a slave, Stormwind's construction project had not yet been completed, and the Defias Brotherhood could not spare anyone. Moreover, he could not speak for his brothers. As for himself, he frankly admitted that he was only a stonemason. Though he had some foundation in engineering, he could not design anything independently.

Sangla was not particularly surprised by Monsens's refusal and expressed his understanding. Monsens, and indeed the Defias Brotherhood, were now deeply devoted to Stormwind and the Alliance. Naturally, they could not agree to be hired by a Forest Troll who belonged to the Horde. Still, they did not treat him with hostility, which was a good start.

Sangla did not make things difficult for Monsens. The man was merely a stonemason and was of no use to him, but he could be used to build ties with the future Defias Brotherhood. So Sangla promised to release him back to Stormwind once they reached Mudsprocket. After refusing the employment offer, the human stonemason had been somewhat uneasy, but seeing the Troll's generosity, he became deeply grateful.
