Victory
After cleaning up the battlefield and ensuring that it wouldn't affect the surrounding environment, Shiro placed the scroll containing the alpha wolf into his ninja tool pouch.
Then, they headed to the next mission location.
This is a mission to exterminate a tiger that is about to become a Ninja Beast. With the help of ninjas, the progress will be much faster.
Unfortunately, no ninja has yet come to subdue it, otherwise it wouldn't be on a mission with a bounty.
Along the way, Shiro didn't stop for a moment and headed straight for his destination.
This task is different from eliminating the wolf pack. Shiro doesn't need to search around because the tiger won't leave that area; otherwise, he wouldn't have been asked to drive it away.
Before long, Shiro arrived at the orchard where the tiger was entrenched. From afar, Shiro saw a giant tiger lying asleep under a tree.
The tiger looked similar to his previous life's tiger, also with yellow and black stripes, only a little larger, though not by much, about two to three meters long.
This size would be great for training as a summoning beast, but unfortunately, Shiro already has a summoning beast from Ryūchi Cave, so there's no need to waste his energy on this one.
Shiro glanced at the tiger and its surroundings, but instead of immediately approaching, he stopped, unfolded the quest scroll and map, and began to study the route to drive it away.
The task is to drive it into a canyon; everything else is simple, the most troublesome part is crossing a river.
Seeing this, Shiro put the scroll away and prepared to first check out the terrain and scout it out.
After that, Shiro glanced at the tiger, which was still sleeping, and then walked around it.
A little while later, Shiro arrived at the river on the map, yes, the river from before.
The river had actually changed course and dried up long ago, but this had little impact on the village, so the map hadn't been changed yet.
But if that's the case, Shiro should definitely go and check it out, just in case other places have changed too?
Shiro took a look around and found that the situation was not bad. Except for the area near the river, the rest of the area was not much different from the map and had no impact on Shiro's mission.
Then, Shiro rushed back to the orchard. By then, the tiger had already woken up, but what it was doing stunned Shiro.
That thing is eating fruit! A tiger eating vegetables! Can you believe it?
"Is it in heat or just looking for a change of pace? Well, we've been eating for so long, it's time to head back." Shiro shook his head and went around to the back of the tiger.
He raised his right hand, making a gun-like gesture.
Human voiceover. "Biu!"
Instantly, a red light bullet shot out and hit its target!
With a roar, the tiger, who was still eating fruit, suddenly jumped up. It angrily turned around and was about to attack when it saw Shiro Hand Seals.
Then, a giant snake appeared before it, slowly coiling around the immobilized creature, and finally, the giant snake bit it down!
With a shudder, it realized that the human was still standing there without moving, and there were no snakes around. However, it was already terrified and, regardless of whether there were really snakes, it turned around and ran away.
It's not afraid of ordinary snakes, but that wasn't an ordinary snake; the bald one was bigger than it!
Shiro smiled as he watched the tiger turn and run away, then lowered his hand Hand Seals and followed it.
Genjutsu: Snake Terror Technique. This is one of Shiro's few Genjutsu, but Shiro is not very proficient at it yet, so he rarely uses it in battle. This is the first time he has used it.
The effect is not bad. It doesn't have obvious lethality; it's just a simple intimidation. It might not be very effective against ninjas with Chakra, but it's still quite effective against wild animals.
After that, Shiro followed behind the tiger, occasionally using Gandra, the red light bullet from before, to correct its direction.
Gandr: A curse from Norse mythology. It involves pointing a finger at an object to curse them and potentially damage their health. It can be considered a non-lethal Magecraft.
Because it targets objects within the sniper's field of view, it's also called a "Gand shot." Pointing your finger at someone is considered impolite, which is the origin of the term "curse." If powerful, it's also called a "Finn's Shot," which can directly damage the opponent.
This Magecraft is the Magecraft used by Rin Tohsaka in Type-Moon. It usually has the power of a bullet, and if mastered, it can even have the destructive power of a rocket!
Its power is quite impressive, but Shiro can't achieve that level. Shiro's Gandra is very weak, about the same as a small stone thrown at someone.
However, Shiro added his own ideas and made slight modifications, removing the negligible attack and enhancing the curse's effectiveness. Those hit would not be harmed, but would experience intense pain.
It's perfect for driving away wild animals, but it's not perfect yet; the Magecraft sometimes fails. But that's part of Shiro's goal—only by finding its flaws can he improve.
Shiro was quite optimistic about this Magecraft, even though he had practiced it incorrectly. He still hoped to develop different applications for it.
And so, Shiro drove the tiger all the way until it entered the canyon, at which point Shiro turned and headed to the next mission location.
However, after taking out the scroll, Shiro realized that the next mission location was a bit far away, and it was getting late, so he couldn't make it in time. Therefore, Shiro found a place, set up camp, and rested for the night.
The next morning, Shiro began organizing the materials he would need, placing them in a convenient location on his person.
The pack of wolves that Shiro is about to drive away is different from others. This pack of wolves did not harm anyone, and many of them are quite talented and have the potential to become spirit beasts.
Therefore, simply driving them away is sufficient.
However, they are wolves after all, and a pack of wolves at that, so using Gandr is not a good idea. It could easily cause them to riot, which would make things even more troublesome.
Therefore, Shiro plans to use several rudimentary Barrier Magecraft to lure them away.
Upon arriving at the mission area, Shiro first checked the surrounding conditions, then silently calculated for a moment before forming a cross seal and creating several Shadow Clone Technique that headed in different directions.
A while later, the Shadow Clone Technique that had been dispelled brought back information that the barrier had been set up. Shiro paused for a moment, then got up and walked towards the wolf pack.
"Wind Release: Great Breakthrough!"
Shiro's Wind Release didn't hit them, but instead created a loud noise in the open space behind them.
Normally, they would scatter after being frightened, but because Shiro set up a barrier around them, they all ran in one direction.
Seeing that everything was going as he had calculated, Shiro smiled, got up and followed it to prevent any mishaps.
In this way, Shiro successfully drove the wolf pack to the designated area, and Shiro used these two methods for most of the subsequent driving missions.
Because all his other newly developed Magecraft tricks failed.
