During the days Aegwynn had been away, Karen had been living quite a fulfilling life.
Aegwynn's husband, the Archmage, had nothing to do every day. With Aviana absent, he could not settle down to cultivate either, so he kept coming over to Karen's place.
Karen took the opportunity to keep seeking guidance from Aegwynn's husband. He had even put his nearly completed ice-element training on hold and devoted himself fully to rushing his arcane magic training.
To put it in gaming terms, this was double experience time for arcane training. He had to hurry and train arcane magic while the buff was still active.
But Karen's good days had recently come to an end. The double experience buff for arcane training was gone, and Aegwynn's husband had not come by for several days.
Karen suspected that Aegwynn had returned. He was still somewhat afraid of Aegwynn and did not dare ask around himself, so he sent his disciple Nelson to investigate.
Nelson and Thomas had been getting along better and better.
The two were classmates, and their masters were good friends as well. They visited each other often and had an excellent relationship.
This was the perfect time to have him ask Thomas about the situation.
Before long, Nelson returned with a report.
Sure enough, Aegwynn had returned, so the Archmage no longer had time to keep running over here.
Karen had already expected that, but Nelson also brought back a piece of news that greatly shocked him.
"Thomas said he's been preparing things for a wedding lately. He said the Archmage and Mage Aviana are getting married," Nelson reported.
"What? How is that possible? How come there hasn't been a single word of it outside?
Such a huge matter, yet no news has gotten out at all?" Karen found
