"Is this the place, Saruman?"
"It should be nearby. Come on, Maiev. Let's check the coast."
This was Darkshore, on the northwestern edge of the continent of Kalidom. Saruman and Maiev had brought a team of Kaldorei here in search of a weapon—the Sword of the Master. Somewhere on Darkshore, the Sword of the Master had pinned a monster to death! Rumor had it that it was a Titan sword, and that it had slain an Old God. Others claimed it had killed an Old God's subordinate, or some other monster. According to ancient Mogu records, the creature it had killed was Soggoth the Slitherer, servant of the Old Gods. Maiev's group had been tasked with finding the sword and bringing it back to Eldre'Thalas.
"We're close. I can sense the aura of chaos. It's very strong."
"I sensed it too. This should be the place. Sentinels, spread out and investigate!"
"All right, we'll wait for news."
After speaking, Saruman cast a spell and raised a magical tent. The other accompanying mages also put up magical tents in small groups and sat down to rest. After a long while, a Sentinel finally returned with a report.
"Commander, target located."
"Good! Send the signal and call everyone back."
The scouting party continued onward, heading straight for the Sword of the Master. From far away, they spotted an enormous hilt. Once they drew near, everyone finally saw the full sight: a gigantic sword was embedded in an even larger skeleton, with only its hilt exposed. The hilt alone was several stories high, and the blade had to be at least a hundred meters long. One could only imagine how massive the wielder of that greatsword had been, and how that strike must have used every ounce of their strength. Everyone present was
