In High Gothic, Malice represents destruction. True to the meaning of the name, as the antithesis of Emperor, Malice is undoubtedly the Fifth Chaos God who embodies ruin.

According to Hogg's roommate, Lobster, once the Master of Mankind, Emperor, is consumed by faith and falls into chaos, He will transform into Malice, the Lord of Destruction. He would then sacrifice the entire human race in one fell swoop and initiate a Great Purge across the entire Warp.

As for the humans sacrificed, at best, they would become remnants like the Eldar; at worst, they might be completely wiped out from the galaxy within a century, vanishing into the river of time just like other galactic Overlords.

As the preeminent figure of the current age, in terms of combat power, Old Man Yellow could easily take on two at once. Even if He couldn't kill them, He could pin any Chaos God down and force them to kneel and call Him "Daddy."

On the other hand, The Four Ruinous Powers are also afraid that if they push too hard, Emperor—that hot-headed youth—might flip the table, jump off the Golden Toilet, and choose to ascend to godhood right then and there. If that happens, they wouldn't be facing Emperor, the Master of Mankind, but Malice, the Lord of Destruction.

This is the very reason humanity has managed to persist for so long. Because of Emperor, a human-shaped bomb, the Chaos forces have shifted their strategy from goading Him into godhood ten millennia ago to preventing Him from ascending now.

To put it bluntly, if a world-ending crisis were to truly occur, the Chaos demons might be even more anxious than the
