The information was relayed at once. Ollanius Persson's image appeared before every Primarch, ordering them to hold the line and not retreat an inch.

But his bruised and battered appearance did little to inspire confidence. A figure soon kicked the old Warmaster aside. It was Alpha, one of the Primarchs.

"Don't listen to that old geezer. Your first priority is to stay alive. Keep them occupied, then pull out as soon as you can. Stay well away from the Star Gate. That's what Hogg wants."

Lances tore through the sky, and artillery set the ground ablaze. Clashes between multiple Legions stirred tides in the Warp. The immense force of emotion drew countless Warp creatures and battered the already fragile dimensional barriers.

The intensity of the war surged in an instant. Warships exploded every moment, then were caught by the planets' gravity and sent crashing toward the ground, where they tore through the blasphemous Xenos hated by both the Imperium and the Chaos warriors.

The Chaos Legions charged forward without hesitation. By contrast, the Imperial Coalition refused to meet them head-on. They simply turned tail and ran, like someone walking a dog.

Horus was the worst of them all. While the other Legions were leading one dog on a walk, he was walking more than a thousand Vengeful Spirits. The entire combined comms channel rang with Horus's howls.

Meanwhile, the Kobold playing video games on the Brass Throne felt his power surge dramatically. Delighted, he abandoned his game and turned his attention to the real world.
