Lion El'Jonson repeated the words a few seconds later. He tilted his head and looked instead at Leman Russ, as though hoping to find some proof from him.

A smile appeared on the Fenrisian's haggard face. He nodded, sharp canines showing, and in that instant, the old vitality seemed to have returned. But everyone knew it was only an illusion. Since the banquet began, he had not said a single word.

"A similar world."

Lion repeated it, his aged, somewhat unfamiliar face looking faintly dazed. After a while, he asked again.

"What... does that mean?"

"It means exactly what it says," Angron explained calmly. "I come from another world. There, the rebellion still happened. It was only the leaders and those who followed after them who changed. We don't need to discuss that. It's too early for you."

He turned his head and glanced at Roboute Guilliman. The latter's expression was somewhat unpleasant, but it could still be called calm.

A grim calm.

Lion El'Jonson, of course, would not miss such an obvious hint. In just a few short seconds, he realized what that veiled implication represented. Shock surfaced, but he quickly forced it down. The Lion began pacing beside the long table, an unmistakable anxiety starting to show.
