The Emperor had lived for a very long time. It could even be said that his lifespan was almost equal to the length of human civilization's history.
Over those years, he had done many things. Some were absurd, bordering on self-indulgence, while others were so heavy that people dared not look directly at them. And the blood of the sacrificed had spattered every corner of his memory.
However, long before he became "The Emperor," long before he fabricated that identity for himself, he had also once loved exploration.
Who would not?
Curiosity was one of the root forces that drove human progress. It was the desire to understand the world that had allowed human civilization to develop step by step. And for The Emperor, he was no exception.
"Truly a beautiful sight," The Emperor murmured to himself.
He gazed at the starry sky before him, so dazzling it was almost impossible to look straight at, and for the first time understood why every being capable of crossing worlds would instinctively call this place the "Endless Star Sea" without needing to be taught.
This was indeed a magnificent ocean with no visible end. Drifting stars were wrapped in transparent, shining shells, and within them were countless rotating nebulae. Infinitely large, or perhaps infinitely small. As he looked at them, The Emperor's thoughts gradually began to drift.
How many humans were here?
The Emperor did not speak, only fell silent for a moment. He raised his right hand. The hand that had originally been clenched now opened, and a golden fragment slowly began to rotate, then dissolved into light and dispersed. The White Tower Council coordinates contained within it were also captured by The Emperor.
He floated in this starry sky, and for some reason, he actually felt a little nervous.
"Phew..."
