From a certain point of view, the Mage and The Emperor were both workaholics, though there were some differences between them.

The Emperor was the sort of man who could keep working endlessly. To him, work was a form of rest, to a certain degree. Anything he gained in the process was a comfort to him. He had inexhaustible drive pushing him to work without any interruption at all.

The Mage was different—for him, work was part of his enjoyment. In other words, he only did something when he found it interesting.

Quite willful, but when he encountered something that interested him, his drive to act was rather astonishing too.

The two of them were currently in the Warp, carrying out a plan whose full scope, for now, was known only to the two of them.

The Emperor used psionic power to sweep away the Chaos of the Warp before him, those things blocking his vision like heavy curtains. The Mage followed behind him step for step, but made no move at all, even keeping his eyes shut.

"Any results yet?" The Emperor glanced back at him and asked.

What he got was one finger raised by the Mage—don't misunderstand, not the middle finger, but the index finger. "Wait a moment. Don't speak for now."

He Shenyan's eyes were tightly shut, his brow furrowed. "Who exactly created the Webway? I don't believe this is a naturally born dimension. It's practically like a maze."

His description was not wrong. The Webway was sometimes, in fact, also called the labyrinth dimension. It had main routes, narrow corridors, and winding, shining tunnels. Mysterious, unpredictable, bizarre and dazzling. These passages connected the real universe with the Warp; however, compared to its true nature, such a metaphorical description could only be called crude.
