Background / History

Le Lingzhao belongs to the direct line of the Angel Family. Her father is the contemporary Angel Douluo, Le Zhengen, and her eldest brother is Le Liyuan, Yue Zhengyu’s father 41 96 176.

Following a major Abyssal crisis, she was seconded to the Blood God Legion alongside Leng Qingning, An Ze, Shi Lan, and other soul masters. They served there for four years. Her and Leng Qingning’s Four-Word Battle Armor was obtained through the combined efforts of their friends, including An Lan’s parents and Mo Hongchen’s parents—not through their own military merits alone 2 107.

When the Abyss attacked again shortly after An Lan’s birth, his parents died in battle. Le Lingzhao and Leng Qingning survived with serious injuries, retired from the legion, and adopted him. Le Lingzhao had witnessed his birth and helped raise him with spiritual materials and medicinal baths 2 4.

Her injuries damaged her foundation so severely that further advancement initially seemed impossible. Neither the Angel Family nor the Phoenix Family could resolve the survivors’ condition. She competes with Leng Qingning for the privilege of conducting An Lan’s awakening, applauds his extravagant boasting, and teases both her disciple and her nephew. When Yue Zhengyu visits, she briefly pretends not to recognize him before reassuring him 2 3 176.

Her attachment to An Lan is parental rather than merely instructional. She becomes nervous over his otherwise routine awakening and feels lonely when he leaves to travel independently. Nevertheless, she and the other elders deliberately give the younger generation private space rather than interfering in every part of their lives 2 91 165.

Her indulgence does not prevent serious teaching. She identifies An Lan’s crude spearplay despite his overwhelming natural advantages and refuses to let confidence replace preparation for Soul Core condensation. Even after judging his prospects exceptionally favorable, she insists on strengthening his spiritual foundation first 10 205.
