Background / History

Human transformation and Eastsea Academy

After awakening, Gu Yue took human form and entered human society to investigate humanity's weaknesses. Her original objectives were to obtain the Golden Dragon King Divine Core, merge with Na'er, and infiltrate the Spirit Pagoda to undermine human soul masters through their dependence on spirit souls. Her enrollment in Eastsea Academy's Zero Class was incidental to these plans. 106 108

At the Riot Spirit Ascension Platform, Gu Yue immediately sensed Na'er's aura and regarded her as a traitor. Although her team considered ambushing the wounded soul beasts being hunted by senior students, Gu Yue's hostility toward Na'er shaped her actions in the encounter. 57 58

Gu Yue and the rest of Zero Class were ultimately defeated by An Lan and Na'er. While her classmates were demoralized, Gu Yue remained outwardly indifferent and instead focused on An Lan and his connection to Na'er. 61 63

Entry into the Spirit Pagoda

After the Golden Dragon King Divine Core vanished from Tang Wulin, Gu Yue redirected her efforts toward Na'er and the Spirit Pagoda. She chose the Phoenix Family's faction because Leng Yaozhu was Na'er's teacher, allowing Gu Yue to approach Na'er while gaining access to the Spirit Pagoda's upper levels. 106 109

Gu Yue intentionally advanced from level 19 to level 24 before presenting herself to the Spirit Pagoda. She faced Na'er in the core-disciple assessment, countering Na'er's attacks with elemental techniques before being overwhelmed by the difference in soul power. Na'er ended the fight after three moves and declared her qualified. 109 111

Although Na'er attempted to impose a three-year internship, An Lan reduced it to three months. Gu Yue thereafter entered the Spirit Pagoda as a core disciple. 112

Later activities

Gu Yue became part of An Lan, Na'er, and Yuanen Yehui's circle, contributing tactical advice during the Skysea Continuous Tournament. She recommended entering the five-person event rather than the three-person event, arguing that a larger arena and more teammates would provide greater tactical flexibility against Shrek Academy. 129

She later departed for secluded cultivation, returning more mature and openly displaying the crystalline purple eyes that identify her as the Silver Dragon King. After her return, she had advanced to rank 52 and resumed her efforts to secure An Lan's cooperation, control the Spirit Pagoda's spirit-soul system, and eventually devour Na'er to reclaim her origin. 239 240 248

Gu Yue is a peerlessly beautiful girl with long black hair, porcelain-white skin, and a cold, noble presence. She initially concealed her true eye color, but later openly revealed crystalline purple eyes—the identifying trait of the Silver Dragon King. 108 239 240

Despite presenting herself as emotionless, Gu Yue is affected by human relationships. Time spent with An Lan, Na'er, and Yuanen Yehui makes her briefly feel that human life is pleasant, an emotional response she considers dangerous to her resolve. 213

Her pride is particularly sensitive where Na'er is concerned. She resents Na'er's earlier superiority, attempts to provoke jealousy between Na'er and the others, and sees surpassing or absorbing Na'er as essential to becoming whole. 111 198 225 240
