Background

Qian Daoliu was the Pope of Martial Soul Hall during Murong Huai's childhood and the son of Grand Worship Qian Pocheng. He was already a level 97 Peak Douluo at the time and belonged to the Qian family, whose Six-Winged Angel Martial Soul is associated with the Angel Holy Sword and the continent's foremost swordsmanship. 1 5

After Murong Huai awakened twin martial souls and Innate Soul Power of level twenty, Qian Daoliu accepted him as his personal disciple. He initially taught Murong Huai himself, then arranged for Qian Xunji to continue the boy's specialized sword instruction while he prepared for war and managed Martial Soul Hall. 5 11 14

Following Qian Pocheng's final order after the Sea God Island conflict, Qian Daoliu succeeded him as Grand Worship. He was entrusted with all Martial Soul Hall affairs and ordered that no Qian descendant ever attack Sea God Island again. 36

Qian Daoliu is patient and exacting as a teacher. Rather than rush Murong Huai into advanced techniques, he insisted that the boy first master the thirteen foundational sword movements, repeating the practice until his disciple's clumsy form gained spirit. 11

He is also dutiful toward Martial Soul Hall and protective of his family. He prepared cultivation resources, assistants, and personal guards for Murong Huai; gave Qian Xunji the superior Sacred Flame Radiance Lotus despite wanting it himself; and sent his son to experience common life before inheriting the papacy. 12 23 45 61
