"Aaaah!"

A piercing scream suddenly shattered the calm.

Kakashi's expression changed. He immediately lifted Rin, still wrapped in the robe, and rushed toward the reef where the scream had come from.

Guy hurried after him.

The black-robed figure immediately explained.

His voice was still muffled by the mask, but he kept his tone as gentle as he could.

He seemed to be trying to ease Kakashi's hostility.

"Obito agreed? You've got to be kidding!"

Kakashi did not believe him for a second.

Kakashi was about to charge forward, but Guy threw out an arm to stop him.

"What exactly happened? I need a reasonable explanation."

The black-robed figure gave Guy a slight nod, then spoke slowly.

"I'm sure you've both noticed. Obito... awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan."

Guy's and Kakashi's expressions tightened at once.
