Tsunade's Protective Nature

Ten minutes later.

Guy walked out of the Hokage Building with a slightly grave expression.

Tsunade and the others, including Kakashi, were waiting outside.

Tsunade stepped forward, her gaze falling on Guy's face as she asked directly, "What did the old man tell you?"

Guy shook his head, deliberately making his tone sound relaxed.

"Nothing much. Just the situation on the front lines and some follow-up mission arrangements."

Tsunade nodded without pressing further.

But her tone carried her usual protectiveness and domineering air.

"If you feel troubled, you can tell me."

"Your teacher may not have any other skills, but I can still occasionally defy that old man's orders."

Guy: "..."

Not bad. As expected of Tsunade!

He silently gave Tsunade a thumbs-up.

"Teacher, you're amazing."

Tsunade grinned.

She stretched out an arm, pulled Guy into an embrace, and gave his back a firm pat.

"Come on, follow me back to the hospital first. Shizune and Anko have been talking about you a lot lately."

Guy nodded slightly and turned to Obito and Rin.

"We'll rest for the day today, then set off early tomorrow morning."

Naturally, neither of them had any objections.

After traveling for so long while remaining under intense mental strain, they truly needed some rest.

Besides, Rin wanted to see Kakashi's treatment plan with her own eyes before she could be completely at ease.

The group made their way toward Konoha Medical Hospital.

Tsunade and Guy walked at the front.

Kakashi, Obito, and Rin talked behind them.

Their topic quietly shifted from heavy matters such as the Three-Tails and memories to concern over Kakashi's disfigurement.

Guy did not listen closely to the conversation behind him.

Lowering his voice, he quietly asked Tsunade, "Teacher, why did Danzo come?"
