• Chen Cheng discovered the aftermath of the attack on Breezewind Water Stronghold, killed Lord Demon Envoy and Lin Yue, and rescued Luo Hanying from an ambush before returning to the sect.
• Chen Cheng killed Li Fusheng and Li Chenyuan, reached fifth place on the Star Ranking, and defended his position against Li Juye at the ranking competition.
• Chen Cheng secretly made Tan Chen his third Moon Slave, advanced his cultivation, and sparred with Gu Fei, whose family promised him support.
• Chen Cheng stabilized eighteen failing furnaces at the Gu Family Grand Alchemy House, then opened the Chen Family Alchemy House and demonstrated that he could refine two Supreme-Grade Profound Pills at once.
• Chen Cheng, Fang Mufeng, and Gu Fei were ambushed on their way back from Di Luo Plain, and Chen Cheng killed several attackers before one escaped and injured Gu Fei.

Chen Cheng rescued his companions, survived the journey to the Vast Righteousness Alliance, and won third place in the Outer Sect Grand Competition. After completing his induction, he entered Alliance society and met Senior Brother Ding at a banquet.

• Ran Shuang killed Song Lie and advanced through the competition despite her injuries, while Chen Cheng refined the Earthfire Spirit Heart and gained crimson-gold spirit fire.
• Chen Cheng defeated Xiang Pojun and killed Xue Qiao, then fought Wang Lingfeng until He Lianbo stopped the match and forced Wang Lingfeng to concede.
• Nie Yunshang took first place, Xiang Poji second, and Chen Cheng third after Chen Cheng defeated Su Heng and Wang Lingfeng declined to challenge him.
• Chen Cheng completed his Outer Sect induction, chose the Myriad Dragon Treasure Armor, and went with Xiang Poji’s companions to the Vast Righteousness Marketplace.
