Gogito vs. Son Goku

Early the next morning, Gogito and Goku arrived at Kami's Lookout with two Gohans and Trunks.

"Hey, Kami! You've been revived too!"

Goku greeted him enthusiastically.

"And Mr. Popo."

Mr. Popo said in his simple, earnest voice,

"This is wonderful. Lord Kami has come back to life."

Kami had died along with Piccolo, and Mr. Popo had guarded the Lookout alone for more than ten years, lonely to the point of despair. Now that Kami had been revived, Mr. Popo was overjoyed.

"We're here to train in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. Gohan and Trunks are too weak at the basics, so they need to start from scratch."

Goku explained why they had come.

"No problem. I'll take you there. The Hyperbolic Time Chamber is on the lowest level of the Lookout."

Mr. Popo agreed at once and led everyone toward the bottom of the Lookout.

When they reached the entrance, Goku suddenly stopped and said,

"Wait a second. I'll go get Vegeta. He'll definitely want to come too."

Then he left using Instant Transmission.

This time, six people would be entering. Gogito suddenly remembered a loophole in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. During the Cell Saga, only two people could enter at a time, but by the time of Majin Buu, Piccolo, Gotenks, and Majin Buu had all entered together—four people in total—and nothing had happened.

It was very strange.

So this time, Gogito planned to have everyone enter together. Even if the exit really did disappear, they could use their power to break through space and get out.

A short while later, Goku returned with Vegeta.

Vegeta still wore his usual haughty expression. He sneered,

"Damn you, Kakarot. You had such a great place and didn't tell us sooner. If we'd trained here when the Androids showed up, so many people wouldn't have been killed by those two heaps of scrap metal."

Goku scratched his head awkwardly and explained,

"Well, I was dead from the heart virus back then! There was no way I could tell you."

"Besides, we didn't know the Androids were going to show up. I only went in there for a while when I was a kid, and later I forgot about it."

Vegeta gave a cold snort and said nothing.

"Come on. We're all going in."

Gogito spoke up.

"All of us?"

Goku looked a little surprised. He knew the rules of the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.

"Only two people can enter at a time. Otherwise, the exit will disappear."

Mr. Popo explained from the side.

"It'll be fine. I have a way. Trust me."

Gogito said confidently.

"Then let's go in."

Seeing Gogito's confidence, Goku didn't press the matter and went straight in.

The others followed. Left outside with Mr. Popo, Gogito said,

"If we don't come out after a long time, please ask Bulma to gather the Dragon Balls and find out what happened to us."

"Don't worry. There's very little chance of that happening, but to be safe, let's have a backup plan. Sorry for the trouble, Mr. Popo."

"Of course."

Mr. Popo agreed.

Gogito turned and entered the Hyperbolic Time Chamber as well.

Inside the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, everyone gazed curiously at the endless, snow-white world around them. There was nothing but a tiny building in this vast place.

Kid Gohan stepped outside and immediately dropped to one knee under the crushing gravity.

"The gravity here is four times stronger than outside, and there's only a quarter as much air. The temperature varies between fifty degrees Celsius and minus forty."

"Most importantly, a year in here is only a day outside."

"But each person can stay for only two days, and only two people can enter at a time."

"Gogito said he had a way around that, so we all came in together."

Goku explained the situation to everyone.

After taking a short break and eating, Goku couldn't sit still any longer.

"Gogito, can I see what you're capable of now?"

Goku's face lit up with excitement.

The others looked toward the two of them as well. They wanted to see how strong Goku and Gogito were.

"Come on. I hope you won't be too discouraged."

Gogito said to Goku.

Everyone headed outside. Goku and Gogito stood facing each other, while the others watched from a safe distance.

Goku didn't transform into a Super Saiyan. He charged straight at Gogito and swung his right fist, which Gogito casually blocked with one hand.

Goku followed up with a kick, but Gogito caught that just as easily. Goku launched into a frenzied assault.

"Dada-dada-dada-dada-dada~~"

Gogito dodged every attack with ease.

"How incredible!"

The onlookers exclaimed in amazement. Vegeta, of course, remained expressionless.

Then Gogito countered with a punch to Goku's stomach, sending him flying. Goku tumbled through the air several times before landing steadily.

"You're amazing, Gogito!"

Goku's energy flared in an instant as he transformed into a Super Saiyan and attacked Gogito again.

Goku appeared behind Gogito and brought his hand down in a chop. Gogito turned and dodged, then threw a punch. Goku crossed his arms to block it, but the force sent him sliding back, carving two long tracks into the ground.

Goku raised his hand and fired a ki blast, but Gogito easily knocked it away. Goku followed with a rapid barrage of blasts, sending one after another flying toward Gogito.

That's right—Goku was using the classic Prince Tactics.

Smoke billowed from the area where Gogito stood. Goku watched it warily, certain that Gogito wouldn't be defeated so easily.

Suddenly, Goku sensed something and turned to look. Gogito was above and behind him, already gathering a massive energy sphere in his hands.

Gogito hurled the energy sphere at Goku. With no time to dodge, Goku could only take the attack head-on.

Goku spread his arms and held back the energy sphere, but its power was too great, forcing him down to the ground.

Gogito fired another ki blast, detonating the massive energy sphere. The resulting shockwave made the onlookers struggle to hold their ground.

"That energy is terrifying!!!"

"Uncle Goku, is he all right???"

Future Gohan and Trunks called out with difficulty.

Kid Gohan had hidden behind Vegeta. He was completely stunned.

"Kakarot won't lose that easily."

"Neither of them has even used their full strength. This is just a warm-up."

Vegeta clenched his fists. With his eye for battle, he could tell that neither of them was fighting at full strength. But during the years he'd spent in Hell, he'd had no body and couldn't train, leaving him far behind Goku.

"What???"

Future Gohan and Trunks stared in shock, their mouths hanging wide open.

"This is still just a warm-up?"

To them, this level of power was already terrifying. If they had been this strong, they would have wiped out the Androids long ago.

As the smoke cleared, Goku was covered in wounds and his clothes were torn, but the others could sense that his ki hadn't weakened.

Goku tore off the orange gi jacket he wore on his upper body and said,

"Gogito, you're incredible. You're this strong without even turning into a Super Saiyan, but I'm not giving up. From here on, I'm going to use all my strength."
