That night, Beerus and Whis enjoyed another grand feast before returning to the World of the God of Destruction. Whis would come back the next day to take Gogito and the others to the Sacred World of the Kai to train.
Early the next morning, Gogito and the others finished packing and followed Whis to the World of the God of Destruction.
When they arrived, before Whis could say a word, Gogito spoke up first.
"I'd like to challenge Lord Beerus. I want to see the power of a God of Destruction."
"Oh?"
Beerus looked up from his morning tea and glanced at Gogito, then said dismissively,
"You're too weak. I'm not interested."
Gogito had expected that.
"I've prepared some delicious food for you, Lord Beerus!"
Hearing that, Beerus reluctantly agreed.
"Fine. I'll let you see the power of a God of Destruction."
Beerus stood up and flew into the air. Gogito stood facing him.
"Show me what you've got."
Beerus beckoned Gogito forward, inviting him to attack.
Gogito powered up and transformed directly into Super Saiyan 3 before launching himself at Beerus. He unleashed a flurry of punches and kicks, attacking furiously.
Beerus dodged as he spoke.
"You look fierce like this, but your strength isn't much to speak of."
Gogito didn't reply. He only sped up his attacks.
Beerus vanished in an instant and reappeared behind Gogito. He swung a hand like a blade and sent Gogito flying. Gogito steadied himself and looked up, but Beerus was nowhere to be seen. A moment later, a punch struck Gogito in the face, and his body slammed hard into the ground, raising a cloud of dust.
"If that's all you've got, we can call this over."
Beerus spoke calmly from the air.
"How could this be all I've got?"
Gogito's confident voice came from within the dust cloud.
Then Gogito let out a loud roar.
"Yaaah!!!"
A dazzling flash shot into the sky, and fragments of rock flew in every direction. Whis raised a barrier to shield the two behind him from the blast.
Gogito had transformed into Super Saiyan 4 Form. He charged at Beerus with blinding speed and slammed a powerful punch toward him. Beerus blocked it with both hands, smiling.
"Now that's more like it!"
The two began fighting at close range.
"Ha-da-da-da-da-da!"
Gogito launched a fierce barrage, but Beerus blocked every blow. Spotting an opening, Beerus punched Gogito hard in the face, then followed up with another punch to his stomach, hard enough to make him throw up stomach acid.
Gogito gritted his teeth and punched Beerus hard in the face. Beerus turned his head to the side, a vein bulging on his forehead.
Whis, watching from the sidelines, remarked,
"Oh my, Lord Beerus seems a little angry."
Sure enough, Beerus grabbed the hand Gogito had used to strike his face and said,
"Don't get too cocky, kid."
He punched Gogito hard in the stomach again, and Gogito spat blood. Beerus spun and struck him with a powerful kick, sending Gogito hurtling away. He crashed headfirst into the forest, carving a long furrow through the ground as smoke and dust billowed around him.
Gogito powered up, blasting away the rocks around him, and charged Beerus again. The two began another round of close-quarters combat.
They fought all the way to the lakeside. After clashing once and separating, they began firing energy blasts. Purple and golden blasts flew everywhere, wrecking the surrounding area.
Beerus punched aside an incoming energy blast and charged Gogito. Gogito fired one golden blast after another, but Beerus darted effortlessly through the dense barrage and reached him in an instant, driving a hard punch at him. Gogito crossed his arms and blocked it, then immediately counterattacked. Beerus vanished and appeared above Gogito, clasping his hands together and raising them overhead, ready to bring them down hard. Gogito disappeared in a flash and kicked at Beerus from his right. Beerus turned aside to dodge, but Gogito spun back and threw a punch. Beerus caught it with one hand. Gogito struck with his other hand, and Beerus caught that one too.
Holding both of Gogito's hands, Beerus drove his knee into Gogito's chest. Gogito doubled over in pain. Beerus gathered energy in one hand. Gogito looked up, but had no time to dodge, so he blocked with both hands and pushed the energy upward with all his strength. Beerus teleported in front of him, then released the energy blast he had been gathering at point-blank range against Gogito's chest. It exploded with tremendous force.
Gogito fell out of the smoke and crashed to the ground, raising another cloud of dust.
When the smoke cleared, Gogito was still standing, but his body was covered in wounds, and blood ran from the corner of his mouth.
"You really are incredible, Lord Beerus!"
Gogito exclaimed. He felt that Beerus had only been playing with him. Gogito thought his current strength should be a match for Super Saiyan Blue in Dragon Ball Super, yet Beerus was still handling him with ease.
"Haah!!!"
Gogito unleashed all his power: Super Saiyan 4 Full Power, the state Goku reached in GT after absorbing the Saiyan energy of Gohan and the others.
"Big Bang—"
"Kamehameha—"
Gogito unleashed his ultimate move, firing a Big Bang Kamehameha at Beerus. Beerus held out one hand and launched a sphere of Hakai Energy. It rapidly grew as it flew, colliding with the Big Bang Kamehameha.
"Argh!!"
Gogito poured everything he had into the attack, trying to break through the Hakai Energy. Beerus increased his power too, and Gogito's attack was pushed back.
Gogito tried to catch the Hakai Energy with both hands. The moment he touched it, the energy rapidly wrapped around his entire body. From a distance, Gogito looked completely engulfed by it.
"Argh!!!"
Gogito cried out in agony. Beerus landed in front of the Hakai Energy and looked at him.
"Have you reached your limit?"
Gogito seemed to hear Beerus. He clenched both fists and answered,
"Not yet!"
"Yah!!!"
To Beerus's astonishment, Gogito absorbed the Hakai Energy and turned it into his own power. At that moment, Gogito reached Super Saiyan 4 Super Full Power, the form Goku took in GT after Syn Shenron knocked him back to his base form and he overloaded himself by absorbing the Saiyan energy of Gohan and the others. He still looked like Super Saiyan 4, but his power and speed had increased dramatically, allowing him to dominate Syn Shenron.
"He's evolved again?"
Beerus was surprised that Gogito could absorb his opponent's energy and even evolve.
"I have Lord Beerus's energy to thank for that."
"You've got some skill, kid."
Beerus was starting to get excited. He hadn't met an opponent like this in a long time.
"Then let's keep going."
"Of course."
Another round of fighting began.
"Incredible,"
Future Trunks and Trunks exclaimed as they watched.
"What kind of transformation is that? He can absorb energy?"
Trunks, who had never seen anything like it, looked excited. He hadn't known Saiyans could become this strong.
But Future Trunks said,
"Mr. Gogito is amazing, but he still can't compare to Lord Beerus. He's also much weaker than Vegito."
Even though he knew Gogito wasn't Vegito, Future Trunks couldn't help comparing the two.
