"Once Broly starts fighting, he gradually loses control. If he isn't stopped in time, the consequences will be unimaginable."
Paragus explained Broly's problem, hoping it would dissuade them from going through with this.
But Gogito said,
"Don't worry. Let me tell you, this is the strongest being in our universe: Lord Beerus, the God of Destruction. With him here, everything will be fine."
"Besides, Trunks is Vegeta's son!"
Hearing Gogito say this, Paragus was instantly consumed by hatred. He also wanted to leave this place, so he agreed to let Broly fight them. Paragus said to Broly,
"Broly, don't hold back. Fight with all your might. Your opponent is Vegeta's son."
Gogito turned to Future Trunks and said,
"Trunks, you'll be the one to fight Broly."
Future Trunks hadn't expected Gogito to pick him. He'd thought Gogito would fight Broly himself.
"You've trained with Lord Beerus for so long. Having you fight will better show off Broly's strength."
There was no helping it. Future Trunks had to step up.
Broly charged straight at Future Trunks, his terrifying power shattering the ground beneath his feet. Trunks crossed his arms, trying to block Broly's punch, but Broly's strength was so immense that the rocks beneath Trunks' feet instantly split apart. Broly's punch sent him crashing into the ground.
Future Trunks instantly transformed into a Super Saiyan. Bracing against Broly's fist, he burst out of the ground and kicked Broly. Broly had little fighting experience, so he took the kick head-on, then punched at Future Trunks. The two began a fierce hand-to-hand fight.
Broly gradually learned as they fought and began to gain the upper hand. Every punch and kick was hard for Future Trunks to defend against.
Broly seized his chance, grabbed Future Trunks by the head, and slammed him into the ground. Then he pressed Trunks against a nearby rock and dragged him across it before hurling him into a distant stone pillar.
Future Trunks was embedded in the pillar, his eyes vacant. Broly had beaten him so badly that he was questioning his entire existence.
Broly didn't give Future Trunks a chance to catch his breath. He charged forward and swung a powerful punch at him. Future Trunks hurriedly turned his head to dodge, and the stone pillar behind him was blown to pieces. Trunks kicked Broly in the chest, but Broly didn't budge. He grabbed Trunks by the foot, leaped high into the air, and slammed him into the ground.
Future Trunks' eyes widened as he spat blood. Broly kept smashing him around, leaving him in agony.
Just as Broly lifted Future Trunks again, Trunks suddenly transformed into a Super Saiyan God and kicked Broly hard in the chest. This time, Broly went flying and crashed into a pile of rocks.
Meanwhile, Trunks asked Gogito,
"Mr. Gogito, why did Broly get so worked up when he heard we were Vegeta's sons?"
Gogito briefly explained what had happened.
"I see."
Trunks couldn't believe his grandfather had been that kind of person. He'd exiled Broly to a place like this because he feared Broly's power and worried that the status of Vegeta's line would be threatened. Trunks knew he wouldn't have taken it well either, if he'd been in Broly's shoes.
"Ha!!!"
Broly's power surged once more. His pupils turned gold, revealing Broly's unique Wrathful Form. Its power was on par with Super Saiyan Blue.
Broly and Future Trunks clashed again, and Broly once more gained the upper hand. Future Trunks in his Super Saiyan God form couldn't withstand Broly's attacks at all. Every time they collided, Trunks was sent flying. If this continued, Broly would wear him down and defeat him. Future Trunks knew it.
At their next clash, Future Trunks used Broly's strength to propel himself away, putting distance between them as he gathered his energy and transformed into Super Saiyan Blue. A brilliant blue light shone across the battlefield: Super Saiyan Blue Future Trunks had arrived.
Broly charged at Future Trunks again, and Trunks met his attack. Their powerful punches collided, unleashing a tremendous burst of energy. Everything around them crumbled, and the ground caved in, forming a huge circular crater.
After a brief deadlock, Future Trunks retreated. He couldn't beat Broly in a contest of strength, so he switched to long-range attacks.
Future Trunks fired a barrage of energy blasts. Broly tanked them with his body and charged at Trunks. Trunks dodged nimbly and kept firing.
When Broly realized he couldn't catch Future Trunks, he roared and gathered a huge amount of energy in his hands. A green energy sphere formed in his palm, and a layer of energy shield appeared around his body, blocking Trunks' blasts. Seeing Broly gathering energy to fire a blast, Future Trunks spread his hands and began charging up too.
"Final Flash~"
"Ha!!"
They fired at the same time. Future Trunks' Final Flash collided with Broly's energy sphere, and the two attacks held in a stalemate. Neither could overpower the other.
"Ha!!"
"Ah!!"
The two poured even more energy into their attacks. Their powers exploded in an instant, and a dazzling light illuminated half the planet.
Future Trunks was panting, utterly drained, while Broly was completely unharmed.
Future Trunks could tell Broly was stronger than him, so he conceded without hesitation.
"I lost, Broly. You really are strong."
Then Gogito decided to stir up trouble. He secretly created a clone, though Beerus and Whis saw right through it. The clone transformed into King Vegeta, approached Paragus, and shouted,
"I should have killed you and your son back then! I never imagined your son would become so strong, Paragus!"
Seeing King Vegeta, Paragus was overjoyed. He hurriedly shouted to Broly,
"Broly, that's our enemy! Hurry and kill him!"
Broly had just turned around when he saw King Vegeta kill Paragus with a single attack. Broly's eyes widened as rage surged through his mind. In agony, he clutched his head and roared,
"Yaaah!!! Aah!!!"
Grass-green energy poured out of Broly's body. A towering column of green energy surrounded him as he slowly rose into the air. Then, at a certain moment, the column suddenly compressed into a green sphere around Broly.
"Yaaah!!!!"
Countless green energy blasts shot out of the sphere, striking everything around them indiscriminately. Whis tapped his staff, and a force field appeared in front of him, protecting everyone nearby.
After a furious bombardment, Broly fixed his gaze on the culprit: King Vegeta, the form Gogito's clone had taken.
Energy gathered in Broly's hands as he charged at King Vegeta. Before King Vegeta could even react, Broly blasted the man who had killed his father into nothing.
Then Broly charged at Gogito, who was closest to him. Gogito chuckled.
"My turn."
Gogito rose into the air and flew into the distance, with Broly in pursuit.
"That's far enough."
Gogito turned and faced the charging Broly, beginning his battle with him.
"What a monster!"
Future Trunks was stunned. Broly had been able to match him in his base form, even gaining a slight advantage. He hadn't expected Broly's power to become this terrifying after transforming into a Super Saiyan. Even the energy Broly released unconsciously was difficult for Trunks to withstand.
Trunks felt the same way. If even another version of himself, stronger than he was, couldn't handle Broly, what chance did he have?
