The Shocked Supreme Kai

"Go, Videl!"

Videl's classmates cheered for her from the stands, and she waved back to acknowledge them.

"Go, Videl!"

"You can do it, Videl!"

Gohan and the three little ones were also cheering for Videl.

"The match begins!"

As the announcer's voice faded, Videl rushed toward Sobitchev, launched herself into the air to kick him in the face, and upon landing, delivered a brutal elbow strike to his stomach. She followed up with a flurry of Wolf Fang Fist strikes interspersed with kicks, leaving Sobitchev with no room to defend himself.

Videl then leaped into the air and kicked Sobitchev flying.

"Contestant Videl's offensive is incredibly fierce! Contestant Sobitchev has been knocked to the ground."

"Contestant Sobitchev has stood back up; one can see his fighting spirit is truly vigorous."

Sobitchev attacked Videl, but she easily caught his strike and countered, causing him such agony that he could only let out a pathetic, impotent roar.

Videl kicked Sobitchev away again, but he stood up once more. Videl felt a flicker of surprise—was this guy really that durable?

Sobitchev was like a heartless combat machine, seemingly incapable of feeling pain, leaving Videl with no choice but to keep up the assault.

Videl grabbed one of Sobitchev's arms and executed a shoulder throw, slamming him heavily into the ground, yet he stood up again almost immediately.

The two engaged in another intense battle; Sobitchev had been knocked down by Videl more times than anyone could count, yet he managed to stand up every single time.

Gohan could also tell that there was something wrong with this guy named Sobitchev. He observed him closely and noticed the veins bulging all over his body and the symbol on his forehead. Hmm? It feels somewhat familiar, he thought, but Gohan still couldn't bring himself to stand up.

"Eh??"

The announcer's voice cut through Gohan's train of thought. Gohan looked up to see Videl kick Sobitchev's head clean off. Both the announcer and the audience assumed Videl had killed him and that she would be disqualified.

To everyone's shock, Sobitchev stood back up and twisted his head back into place. Good grief, what a ruthless character.

The two began yet another round of combat.

However, Videl's stamina was clearly waning, and she began to struggle. Her attacks lost their initial sharpness, and as she started to falter, she began taking hits, and wounds appeared on her body.

The next moment, Videl was struck by a heavy blow to the stomach, followed by a kick that left her lying on the ground, unable to rise for a long time.

"Damn it, taste this!"

Videl finally managed to stand up, slowly gathering energy in her hands until a ki blast began to form.

"Ha!"

Videl fired the ki blast at Sobitchev.

Sobitchev raised his hand as well.

"Could it be?"

Videl found it hard to believe. She had only managed to use this technique after a month of training with Gohan; how could this guy possibly know it?

The next moment, a purple ki blast erupted from Sobitchev's hand, colliding with Videl's. Her blast was instantly swallowed, and the purple energy struck her directly.

Videl fell to the ground again, and Sobitchev rushed forward to continue his assault on the downed girl.

That guy Sobitchev was aiming every single strike at Videl's face, and blood began to stream from her nose and mouth.

"That damn bastard, how dare he hit Videl like that!"

Ace couldn't watch from the stands anymore. Winning was one thing, and injuries were inevitable in a fight, but this kind of brutalization was clearly just torturing an opponent.

Ace rushed onto the ring and kicked Sobitchev with such force that he went flying, slamming hard into the perimeter wall.

Gohan had intended to intervene, but Ace had beaten him to it. Gohan hovered in mid-air, suddenly spotting Yamu (the skinny one) hanging in the air in the distance.

He held a long pot in his hand and said to Sobitchev, "That's the one!"

The two rushed toward Ace, intending to absorb her energy.

All of this happened in the blink of an eye, too fast for the Supreme Kai to react.

Gohan saw the two rushing toward Ace and prepared to move, but Ace, in her fury, transformed directly into a Super Saiyan. With two or three swift moves, she subdued them both and snatched away their energy-absorbing device.

The announcer was left dumbfounded. How had a little girl suddenly appeared, kicked Sobitchev flying, and then had Yamu pop out from nowhere to try and grab her? Even more absurdly, the girl had suddenly turned into a blonde and knocked them both out in a few moves, stealing their equipment.

Gohan went to Videl's side, took out a Senzu Bean, and fed it to her.

He had specifically gone to Korin to get this bean, thinking it might come in handy, though he hadn't expected to actually need it.

After eating the Senzu Bean, Videl was instantly restored to full health.

Gohan walked over to Sobitchev and Yamu, wanting to know their intentions, when the Supreme Kai walked over and said, "No need to ask; I know what their goal is."

Gohan looked at the Supreme Kai, thinking, Just as I suspected, this guy came here specifically for these two.

The Supreme Kai continued, "I had intended to use these two to find the lair of the mastermind behind all this, but now I'll have to find another way."

Sobitchev and Yamu's bodies suddenly swelled rapidly, then exploded instantly.

This was Babidi's standard procedure; if his subordinates were discovered, he would silence them.

Gohan and the others had ruined Shin's plan, so they decided to assist him instead.

Gohan, Videl, and the three little ones learned the full story from Shin and exclaimed in shock, "Majin Buu?"

"That's right, Majin Buu."

Even after all this time, Shin still felt a sense of dread whenever he recalled Majin Buu's smiling face.

Trunks and Goten jumped around, gesturing to describe their good friend Buu, while Ace pulled out her phone to show Shin a photo of them with Buu, scaring him so badly he nearly wet himself.

"How is that possible?"

Shin was absolutely certain that the egg sealing Buu had been taken by Babidi, so what was the deal with this Buu?

Gohan explained the situation to clear up his confusion, "Mr. Buu was brought back from another timeline by Mr. Gogito and handed over to Dr. Brief for research. A few years ago, Mr. Gogito released him, saying he wanted him to be a playmate for Ace."

"Mmhmm!"

Ace nodded along from the side.

Shin had begun to doubt reality. Releasing Buu just to serve as a playmate for a child?

This joke wasn't funny at all.

Trunks and Goten had been quite interested when they first heard about a "Majin," but after finding out it was just Buu, they couldn't see how that goofy guy could be any kind of Majin.

The two deflated like punctured dolls, unable to muster any enthusiasm.

Shin requested that Gohan take him to see Gogito, hoping to ask for his help.

However, Gohan replied that if it were only at the level of Mr. Buu, he could handle it himself. But if it were the Buu he had seen as a child, that would be an opponent beyond his capabilities.

Shin was stunned yet again!

The events of the day had shattered his worldview: Buu as a playmate, and meeting someone who could casually toy with Buu.
