"Finally, it's over!"

Shin lowered his arms and muttered to himself; the great enemy Babidi, who had plagued his heart for so long, had finally been eliminated.

"That's wonderful, Supreme Kai! We've finally wiped out Babidi!"

Kibito rushed to Shin's side, shouting with excitement.

The two were so overjoyed they nearly held hands and danced.

Shin walked over to Gohan and thanked him solemnly.

"Thank you very much for your help, Gohan."

"If not for you, Dabura would have been an opponent we couldn't handle. I fear Kibito and I would have died at his hands."

"Don't mention it. Even without you, Supreme Kai, I would have wiped these guys out entirely. I will never allow anyone to cause destruction on Earth."

As Gohan spoke of Earth, he clenched his fists, his eyes sharp; he would not let the tragedy of the future world play out here.

"Now, only the egg sealing Majin Buu remains."

Shin looked toward the spaceship, a corner of which was exposed on the ground.

The seven of them split into six groups and entered the ship to search.

Gohan held Videl's hand as they wove through the ship, while the others acted independently.

"Babidi's ship is truly massive, with so many levels."

Videl was still reeling from Gohan's display of power. She had originally thought Gohan was strong because he could withstand bullets and rocket launchers with his bare body, and after he taught her how to use a ki blast, her estimation of his strength had risen another notch—but it was still within a range she could accept.

The power Gohan displayed this time, however, was beyond her comprehension. Her head was spinning, and she let Gohan lead her along.

"Gohan, just what are you?"

Videl tugged at Gohan's clothes and asked the question weighing on her heart.

"That? Let's talk about it slowly once we get home. It's a long story—are you willing to listen?"

Gohan squeezed Videl's hand as he spoke.

"Of course. I want to understand Gohan's past."

Videl gripped his hand back.

The atmosphere was incredibly sweet.

"Hey! I found it!"

Goten's voice echoed from underground.

"Majin Buu is right here, and it's glowing!"

Everyone arrived at Goten's location, where he pointed excitedly at the glowing giant egg.

"How amazing!"

Trunks stepped forward and touched the shell. Ugh, it was hard—completely different from the texture of Buu. Trunks looked a bit disgusted.

Shin, meanwhile, was checking the energy levels of Buu; the needle was already maxed out!

It turned out that just before Babidi died, he had sacrificed his life to cast a spell, injecting all the energy from the fallen into the egg. The energy required for Majin Buu's resurrection had been filled in an instant.

Terrified, Shin ran to Gohan's side.

"Gohan, are you certain you can defeat Majin Buu?"

Although he knew Majin Buu was on Earth and Gohan had personally claimed he could win, the image Majin Buu had left in Shin's mind was too horrific; he still couldn't be sure if Gohan could prevail.

Even though Gohan had just eliminated Dabura, Majin Buu could also kill Dabura with ease, and he couldn't determine who was stronger between the two.

"Rest assured, Supreme Kai. It will be no problem."

Gohan comforted Shin, trying to put his mind at ease.

The egg split into two, and pink gas surged out. After a while, the gas finished venting, and the shell fell to the ground.

Shin, thinking Majin Buu hadn't revived, was just about to cheer when he saw the pink gas in the air slowly contract, shrinking bit by bit until it finally took on a chubby form.

Looking at that harmless face, Shin was too frightened to speak, his body trembling slightly.

Gohan, standing to the side, naturally sensed Shin's reaction. Sigh, for a dignified Supreme Kai, he really is a disgrace to the gods.

"It's really Buu!"

The three youngsters were far too familiar with Majin Buu and immediately rushed forward, hanging onto him.

"Who are you?"

As soon as Buu woke up, he saw three children hanging off him. He thought about it carefully—hmm, he didn't recognize them.

"Good friends?"

"Are you edible?"

At this moment, Majin Buu was as pure as a blank sheet of paper, having no idea what a friend even was.

Supreme Kai thought to himself, Oh no, something is about to...

Supreme Kai had just wanted to say that something was about to go wrong, but the next second, he was dumbfounded.

Trunks pulled a piece of chocolate from his pocket, handed it to Majin Buu, and said, "This is what you eat. We are good friends."

As he spoke, he signaled for Goten to help explain.

"Yeah, yeah, good friends."

Goten draped his arm over Trunks's shoulder, joining in the explanation.

Majin Buu took the chocolate, tossed it into his mouth without even tearing off the wrapper, chewed it, and then spat it out. "This doesn't taste good."

"Dummy, you have to tear off the wrapper!"

Trunks pulled out another piece of chocolate, tore it open, and handed it to Majin Buu.

Majin Buu took it, sniffed it, and then put it into his mouth.

"Mmm, delicious!"

Majin Buu squinted his eyes in delight.

Supreme Kai's jaw nearly hit the ground. Was this really the Majin Buu he remembered?

This shouldn't be happening, right?

"Are there any more?"

Majin Buu asked Trunks.

Trunks and Goten patted themselves down for a long time, only to pull out one more chocolate candy, which they handed to Majin Buu, saying, "This is the last one. The rest are at home."

"Yeah, yeah."

Goten nodded.

"Let's go home. We have lots of delicious food there."

Ace also chimed in, "Finally, we can play a five-person game!!"

"Yay!!"

The three of them cheered in unison.

Then, they grabbed Majin Buu, ready to head home.

"Are Gohan and Videl, and those two weird uncles coming too?"

Goten turned his head to ask the group over there.

"No, Videl and I have things to do, so we won't be going."

"Lord Supreme Kai, are you going?"

Gohan asked Supreme Kai.

"I think I'll go take a look."

Supreme Kai still couldn't set his mind at ease; after thinking it over, he decided to follow along and see for himself.

"Then let's go."

Majin Buu followed the three little ones and Supreme Kai back to West City, while Gohan and Videl returned to the World Martial Arts Tournament venue. After everything that had happened, with the strong fighters either leaving or dying, Satan ended up winning the championship.

Satan was in the middle of an interview when he saw Videl and Gohan. He abandoned the interview, ran up to them, and asked with some concern, "Where did you two go? I was looking for you everywhere!"

"That guy Sobitchev actually dared to beat Videl into a serious injury. He'd better hope I don't run into him, hmph!"

Only after seeing that Videl was safe and sound did Satan feel relieved. He then said to Gohan, "You have to protect Videl for me. If Videl tells me you're bullying her, I won't let you off!"

Gohan also replied solemnly, "I will definitely protect Videl. Please rest assured."

Hearing Gohan's serious tone, Satan finally felt at ease.

Satan waved his hand, signaling for them to leave. "You two go back to your date; I still have to finish this interview."

Without waiting for them to reply, he walked back to continue his interview.

Videl and Gohan exchanged a glance and left, heading back to Mount Paozu, where Gohan was going to tell Videl his story.
