Supreme Kai Shin and Kibito followed the three little ones to West City.
Gogito was sparring with Goku, Vegeta, and Broly. He was facing all three at once without any trouble.
In his base form, Gogito stood with his arms crossed, effortlessly dodging their attacks.
"Damn it!"
Vegeta, the hot-tempered one, attacked desperately, but he never managed to hit Gogito even once.
Goku, meanwhile, praised him.
"Gogito, you're still as strong as ever!"
Ever since meeting Gogito, Goku had trained hard. He had grown much stronger over the years, but against Gogito, things were still the same as before: he was instantly defeated.
Broly remained silent, watching Gogito intently as he tried to make out his movements.
Seeing his daughter return, Gogito stopped fighting and went over to her. He scooped her up and kissed her.
"So, was the World Martial Arts Tournament fun?"
Ace pointed at Supreme Kai Shin.
"It was fun! It was so lively and interesting. A bad guy hurt Big Sis Videl, so I taught him a lesson."
"Then we met this weird uncle, and we teamed up with him to beat the bad guy."
Gogito had spotted Supreme Kai Shin long ago. Sigh. He didn't know what to say about the guy. He'd leave it to Shin's ancestor to teach him a lesson.
Just then, another Buu (let's call him Mr. Buu) walked out with a plate of pudding, eating as he went. Suddenly, he saw the other Buu and thought someone had taken on his appearance to hurt his friends.
"Who are you?"
Mr. Buu questioned Buu angrily.
Trunks and Goten pulled Mr. Buu aside and explained things to him.
After hearing Trunks and Goten's explanation, Mr. Buu went back to his usual goofy self and offered Buu the pudding in his hand.
"This is really yummy."
Buu picked one up and tossed it into his mouth.
"It really is!"
Buu was delighted.
"Let's go get some snacks!"
Trunks said to the two Buus and Goten.
"I wanna go too!"
Ace jumped down from Gogito's arms and went along with them.
Gogito went over to Buu and warned him not to use his powers recklessly. If he caused trouble, Gogito would give him a serious thrashing.
Mr. Buu was clearly a little afraid of Gogito and shuffled backward.
Supreme Kai Shin saw this and believed Gohan now. This Gogito really was powerful. Even Buu was afraid of him.
"Okay, Dad, don't scare Buu."
Ace tugged at Gogito's pants, urging him to go away. Buu was always terrified whenever he saw Gogito. It seemed Gogito had hit him pretty hard.
The three little ones and the two Buus went to the dining room, leaving only Supreme Kai Shin and Kibito behind.
Shin and Kibito stood there uneasily. The man in front of them was someone even Buu feared. If he got annoyed and killed them both, they wouldn't have anyone to appeal to.
"Don't be so nervous. I'm not some kind of maniac."
Gogito then chatted with Goku, Supreme Kai Shin, and the others. He said he had met Supreme Kais in other timelines, and they were just like the one here, constantly chasing after Babidi and Majin Buu.
Hearing that, Supreme Kai Shin said,
"Majin Buu really is terrifying!"
Goku agreed.
"That's right. Buu really is strong. I'm not even confident I could beat him now."
Buu could grow stronger, too. By the time of the Tournament of Power in the original story, Buu could overpower Goku in his base form. Goku had also said Buu had improved a lot and grown stronger. That Buu was still only the good half of him, let alone the complete Buu here.
Vegito shook his head and said,
"Your perspective is too limited. You haven't met anyone stronger. So what if Buu is strong? There are plenty of people who can match me or even surpass me."
For one thing, he couldn't beat the twelve Angels. As for the Gods of Destruction, Gogito should be able to handle them now. It wasn't impossible for him to win, either. He could probably beat the weakest God of Destruction, but Beerus was another matter. Gogito would need to take his Ultra Instinct to the next level to beat Beerus.
"There are people stronger than Gogito? I always thought he was the strongest in the universe!"
Goku's eyes lit up with excitement. So there were still so many powerful people out there.
Vegeta said nothing, but he clenched his fists, his heart in turmoil.
"You're a Supreme Kai, yet you don't know about the Gods of Destruction, or even understand the duties of a Supreme Kai. Your ancestor will have to give you a proper education."
Gogito pointed at Supreme Kai Shin.
Shin looked utterly bewildered. What were the Gods of Destruction? What were the duties of a Supreme Kai? He had no idea. And his ancestor? There were only him and Kibito in the Sacred World of the Kai. Where would an ancestor come from?
Seeing Shin's baffled expression, Gogito continued,
"Your ancestor is sealed inside the sword stuck in the Sacred World of the Kai. Break the sword, and you can release him."
"Which of you wants to go help him out?"
Goku was interested and volunteered. Vegeta and Broly went along with him.
Kibito took the four of them to the Sacred World of the Kai. Then Goku pulled out the Z Sword and released Old Kai.
After meeting his ancestor, Supreme Kai Shin asked him what a Supreme Kai's duties were, and what the Gods of Destruction were.
Old Kai was so furious that he nearly dropped dead on the spot, cursing his ignorant descendant.
But after learning the truth, his anger subsided. It wasn't the descendant's fault. He was also glad he hadn't gone off and gotten himself killed somewhere, or things could have turned out very badly.
What a disappointment of a descendant!
When Old Kai caught sight of Broly out of the corner of his eye, he decided on the spot to unlock Broly's potential. He could see the immense power hidden within Broly and wanted to repay Goku for freeing him.
Goku stopped Old Kai, explaining that if Broly's power increased too quickly, he might go berserk, and they wouldn't be able to stop him.
Then he asked if Old Kai could unlock his and Vegeta's potential, too.
Old Kai simply said that the two of them didn't have much potential, which enraged Vegeta so much he nearly attacked him. What did he mean, they had no potential? Vegeta would show the old man what he could do.
Fortunately, Goku held him back. Otherwise, Old Kai would have been in for it.
With nothing else to do, Goku, Broly, and Vegeta returned to Earth, while Old Kai took Supreme Kai Shin to class.
Poor Supreme Kai. He'd made it all the way to godhood, and still had to go to class.
Back on Earth, the three of them continued training. But Goku said,
"Training like this is so slow. Vegeta, why don't we ask Gogito if he knows a better way to get stronger? Piccolo told me Gogito trained in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber before and learned to transform into a Super Saiyan 4!"
When Vegeta heard "Super Saiyan 4," his eyes widened. He cursed at Goku,
"Damn it, Kakarot! Why are you only telling me this now?"
"I only remembered what Piccolo said about Super Saiyan 4 when Gogito mentioned people who were even stronger. Sorry."
Goku answered sheepishly.
Vegeta ignored him and rushed off to find Gogito. This time, he would become a Super Saiyan 4 before Kakarot and then crush him soundly. Vegeta could already picture Kakarot lying at his feet.
Before you continue
