Release the Old Kai

Shin and Kibito followed the three little ones to West City.

Gogito was sparring with Goku, Vegeta, and Broly; Gogito felt no pressure taking on all three at once.

In his base form, Gogito stood with his arms crossed, dodging their attacks with ease.

"Damn it!"

Vegeta, that hot-headed guy, attacked desperately but failed to land a single hit on Gogito.

Goku exclaimed in admiration, "Gogito, you guy, you're still just as strong!"

Ever since he first met Gogito, Goku had been training diligently. Despite having grown much stronger over such a long time, facing Gogito still resulted in the same outcome as before: being defeated in an instant.

Broly remained silent, staring intently at Gogito, trying to see his movements clearly.

Seeing his daughter had returned, Gogito stopped fighting and went to her side, picking her up and giving her a kiss.

"How was it? Was the World Martial Arts Tournament fun?"

Ace pointed at Shin and said, "It was fun! It was so lively and interesting, but a bad guy hurt Videl, so I taught him a lesson."

"Then we met this strange uncle, and we worked together to defeat the bad guy."

Gogito had already noticed Shin. Sigh, he didn't know what to say about this guy; it was better to leave his education to his ancestors.

Just then, the other Buu (Mr. Buu) walked out holding a plate of pudding, eating as he went. Suddenly, he saw the other Majin Buu and assumed someone had transformed into his likeness to hurt his friends.

"Who are you?"

Mr. Buu questioned Majin Buu with some annoyance.

Trunks and Goten pulled Mr. Buu aside to explain the situation.

After hearing their explanation, Mr. Buu returned to his silly self and offered his pudding to Majin Buu.

"This is really yummy."

Majin Buu took a bite and tossed it into his mouth.

"It really is!"

Majin Buu was pleasantly surprised.

"Let's go have some snacks!"

Trunks said to the two Buus and Goten, "I'm coming too!"

Ace jumped out of Gogito's arms and followed them.

Gogito walked over to Majin Buu and warned him not to use his power recklessly, or he would teach him a harsh lesson if he caused trouble.

Mr. Buu was clearly afraid of Gogito and shuffled backward.

Shin witnessed this scene and finally believed what Gohan had said: this guy named Gogito was truly terrifying if even Buu feared him.

"Alright, Daddy, don't scare Buu."

Ace tugged on Gogito's pants to make him walk away; it seemed Gogito hit quite hard, given how scared Buu was every time he saw him.

The three little ones and the two Buus headed to the dining room, leaving Shin and Kibito behind.

Shin and Kibito felt uneasy; the man before them was someone even Buu feared. If he got annoyed and wiped them out, they would have nowhere to appeal for justice.

"Don't be so nervous. I'm not some kind of mass murderer."

Gogito began chatting with Goku and Shin. He mentioned that he had encountered Shins in other timelines, too, and they were all the same, spending their days chasing after Babidi and Majin Buu.

Upon hearing this, Shin remarked, "Majin Buu is truly terrifying!"

Goku agreed, "That's right, that guy Buu is indeed powerful. I'm still not confident I could beat him."

Buu was capable of growth; in the original story during the Tournament of Power, Buu could suppress Goku in his base form, and Goku admitted Buu had improved significantly. That was only the good half of Buu, not to mention the complete version here.

Vegito shook his head and said, "Your perspective is too narrow. You haven't seen those who are truly stronger. What is Buu? There are many who can rival me or even surpass me."

Not to mention the twelve angels he couldn't defeat; as for the God of Destruction, Gogito could likely handle one now. Winning wasn't impossible, though he could only beat the weakest ones. Someone like Beerus was a different story unless Gogito reached a higher level of Ultra Instinct.

"Are there people even stronger than Gogito? I always thought Gogito was the strongest in the universe!"

Goku was instantly excited to learn there were so many powerful individuals out there.

Vegeta said nothing, but he clenched his fists, his heart far from calm.

"You are a Shin, yet you don't even know about the God of Destruction, nor do you understand your own responsibilities. Your ancestors really need to educate you properly."

Gogito pointed at Shin and said.

The Supreme Kai was completely bewildered. What was a God of Destruction? What were the responsibilities of a Supreme Kai? He knew absolutely nothing about these things, let alone his ancestors. There were only he and Kibito in the Sacred World of the Kai, so where could any ancestors have come from?

Seeing the Supreme Kai's confused expression, Gogito spoke again.

"The Z Sword stuck in the ground of the Sacred World of the Kai seals away your ancestor. If you break the sword, you can set him free."

"Which of you will go and help him get it sorted?"

Goku was quite interested and took on the task, with Vegeta and Broly joining him.

The four of them were taken to the Sacred World of the Kai by Kibito, where Goku pulled out the Z Sword and released Old Kai.

Upon meeting his ancestor, the Supreme Kai asked what the responsibilities of a Supreme Kai were and what a God of Destruction was.

Old Kai was so infuriated he nearly ascended to the afterlife on the spot, cursing this ignorant junior.

However, after learning the truth of the situation, his anger subsided. He couldn't blame this junior, and at the same time, he felt relieved that he hadn't died while wandering outside, or else there would have been a massive problem.

What a disappointing junior!

Catching a glimpse of Broly out of the corner of his eye, Old Kai decided on the spot to help Broly unlock his potential. He could see the immense power hidden within Broly and wanted to repay Goku for the favor of releasing him.

Goku stopped Old Kai, saying that if Broly's power increased too quickly, he might lose control, and they wouldn't be able to stop him.

He then asked if he and Vegeta could have their potential unlocked as well.

Old Kai replied that the two of them didn't have much potential left, which made Vegeta so angry he wanted to fight the old man right then and there. What did he mean their potential wasn't good enough? He would show this old man what he was capable of.

Fortunately, Goku held him back, or Old Kai would have been doomed.

Seeing that there was nothing else to do, Goku, Broly, and Vegeta returned to Earth, while Old Kai took the Supreme Kai off to start his lessons.

Poor Supreme Kai, he had reached the status of a god only to still have to attend classes.

Back on Earth, the three of them continued their training, but Goku remarked, "Training like this is so slow. Vegeta, why don't we ask Gogito if he has any good ways for us to get stronger? Piccolo told me that Gogito had previously trained in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber to achieve the Super Saiyan 4 transformation!"

When Vegeta heard about Super Saiyan 4, his eyes widened, and he cursed at Goku, "Damn it, Kakarot, you idiot, why are you only telling me this now?"

"I only remembered what Piccolo said about Super Saiyan 4 when Gogito mentioned even stronger people. Sorry about that!"

Goku replied weakly.

Ignoring Goku, Vegeta rushed off to find Gogito. This time, he was determined to become a Super Saiyan 4 before Kakarot and then crush him soundly. Vegeta could practically see the scene of Kakarot lying defeated at his feet.
