Tights was eating instant noodles when she was startled. What was going on?

Whis picked up the pace. In just a few seconds, he polished off an entire cup of instant noodles, even drinking every last drop of the broth.

The next second.

"Ahhh!!! Whis, you snuck off and ate something delicious behind my back again, didn't you?!"

A purple figure flashed through the air. Wearing his pajamas, Beerus flew straight from the God of Destruction Palace to the lakeside.

"Tights, hurry and eat!"

Louis's scalp prickled. Who could have guessed these instant noodles would have such power that they'd even awakened Beerus from his slumber?

He hurriedly gave Tights a shove. If she didn't eat now, there wouldn't be anything left for her later.

Tights froze. What was going on?

Still, she did as Louis said and quickly started eating the instant noodles in her hands.

Beerus had spotted the mouthwatering delicacy as soon as he arrived. It was the instant noodles the three of them were holding, but Whis had already finished his.

Only the young man and a woman were left, each holding a cup of instant noodles.

But the young man gave the woman a shove, and the two of them immediately started eating.

Beerus swallowed, savoring the enticing aroma.

He really wanted to eat some instant noodles, but he couldn't bring himself to eat food someone else had already touched.

"Kid, who are you? Are you looking to die?"

With the delicious food out of reach, Beerus was so furious that his chest heaved. Purple light radiated from his whole body, and his eyes brimmed with murderous intent.

He hadn't recognized Louis as the boy he'd brought back ten years ago.

Boys changed a lot as they grew up!

Beerus had slept for ten years, and Louis had grown from a child into a handsome young man. How could Beerus possibly recognize him?

Louis ignored Beerus and continued eating his instant noodles. He had to admit, the noodles in the Dragon Ball World tasted much better than the ones from his previous life.

Tights felt the Destruction Energy radiating from Beerus. She could barely breathe.

This must be the God of Destruction Louis had mentioned!

Just then, Louis stepped in front of Tights, holding his instant noodles.

The frightening pressure vanished at once, and Tights gasped for breath.

She was alive at last.

Louis said calmly, "Lord Beerus, she's with me."

Whis had finished his noodles. A smile tugged at his lips as he watched the show from the sidelines.

Beerus clenched his fists. He didn't spare Tights a glance, keeping his eyes on Louis as he said coldly, "A useless King Kai dares to snatch food on my turf. Who gave you the nerve?"

Snatch food?

The lazy cat still hadn't recognized him!

Louis's forehead creased with exasperation. Besides, how had the food in someone else's hands become his? He might as well claim everything in Universe 7 belonged to him!

Actually, that wasn't entirely unreasonable.

"Then let's fight!" Louis laughed and tossed the instant noodles in his hand into the lake. They vanished in an instant.

Seeing the delicious food go to waste, Beerus flew into a rage. "If you want to die, I'll grant your wish!"

Destructive energy enveloped his whole body. Purple lightning flickered around him, stirring up thunder in the heavens. The energy waves were terrifying.

Beerus's figure vanished, too. Tights trembled in fright. Was this the so-called God of Destruction?

Whis waved his staff to protect Tights. It would be hilarious if the shockwaves from Beerus and Louis's battle killed her.

Two figures flew at incredible speed.

"Kid, haven't you eaten? Why are you so slow?" Beerus suddenly appeared behind Louis and said coldly.

"Didn't you just see whether I'd eaten?"

"Die!"

Beerus was genuinely angry now. He wasn't holding back at all! He formed a basketball-sized sphere of Destruction Energy and hurled it at Louis, quickly enveloping him.

When Destruction Energy touched an object, it destroyed it at its very core. Beerus's attack was terrifying. Even when it touched the air, it crackled with a "sizzle, sizzle, sizzle."

"Humph! You dared to fight me for the food! Now you're dead, aren't you?"

Beerus turned back with confidence. Having destroyed his opponent, he felt a little better.

However!

"Lord Beerus, it's only polite to return a favor. Take one of my attacks, too."

A laugh came from behind him.

"What?"

Beerus's pupils shrank. He whirled around and saw a fist-sized sphere of Destruction Energy coming straight at him.

Beerus was struck by the Destruction Energy. The tingling sensation left him in disbelief.

That kid had survived his attack—and could use Destruction Energy, too?

That couldn't be real!

Suddenly!

A small figure flashed through Beerus's mind. Then a serene aura appeared in the sky, carrying the scent of nature itself.

When he looked at Louis again, a silver glow shimmered around him.

Rudimentary Autonomous State!

It confirmed Beerus's suspicion, and he smiled. "Well, look at you! I can't believe you've grown so much!"

Only someone of at least an angel's rank—or the successor he'd taken in all those years ago—could shrug off an attack from the strongest God of Destruction in the Zeno Universe!

"Hahaha, Lord Beerus finally recognized me!"

Louis laughed. "But you wanted to beat me up just now, so now I'm going to beat you up!"

The moment the words left his mouth!

Louis flickered in and out of sight, darting through the sky.

Beerus took a defensive stance. After all, his opponent wasn't just anyone, but that extraordinarily special little brat from back then.

It would be hilarious if he let his guard down and got caught off guard!

Soon, countless Destruction Energy Spheres rained down like flower petals. Beerus, hovering in midair, smashed them one by one with his fists.

Seeing that his Prince Tactics weren't working, Louis switched up his attack.

Countless afterimages appeared in the sky, each roaring at Beerus like a prehistoric beast.

Beerus wasn't fooled by the afterimages. He found Louis's real body.

The two fought hand to hand!

Silver and purple light shot into the sky like twin dragons rising from the water, twisting together before separating...

They fought from the sky down to the ground!

A world-shaking aura spread across the entire God of Destruction Realm, and it began to crumble.

Protected by Whis, Tights couldn't see the details of their fight, but she knew it had to be incredibly intense.

"Whis, will Louis be all right?"

Tights clenched her little fists, her palms slick with sweat.

Whis smiled. "He'll be fine. Lord Beerus is very strong, but he can't hurt Louis."

Not even Beerus could hurt Louis. In fact, I can't hurt him either.
