While Kasso and Ausbie were eating their roasted meat.
Far away at Frieza's headquarters in the North Galaxy.
It was a massive planet filled with a sense of high technology.
Surrounded by a dense, orderly ring of small asteroids, the planet sat at the center, forming a defensive system capable of both offense and defense.
The defensive capabilities went without saying; advanced cosmic technology wrapped these surrounding planets tight as a drum, like an impenetrable fortress where not even a fly could hope to slip inside.
Coupled with the command of the central headquarters and various elite troops, it was truly an iron-clad battle formation!
An oval-shaped micro-flight pod, shaped like an egg with a surface of alternating black and brown, had an opening at the front. Inside sat an alien with a sinister appearance.
With blood-red eyes, purple-black lips, and two lines beneath his eyes resembling blood tears, his purple shell gleamed against his pale skin. Combined with the cold, chilling aura he radiated, it was enough to make anyone tremble—he was Frieza!
"Mr. Dodoria, those Saiyan monkeys have been very restless lately!"
Frieza crossed his hands in front of his micro-flight pod, which glided forward a short distance. He narrowed his viper-like, diamond-shaped eyes and gazed at the sky, letting out a faint, elegant sigh.
Dodoria, plump and pink-skinned, had fleshy spikes protruding from his head and arms.
Facing the greeting from King Frieza, he hurried forward, not daring to delay for a single moment.
"Those Saiyan monkeys don't know what's good for them. It is their honor to serve King Frieza. If it weren't for their decent combat power, I would have dealt with them long ago!" Dodoria said with a look of disdain.
"Ahahaha!"
Frieza let out a sinister, shrill laugh that echoed throughout the luxurious palace. His oval flight pod spun in place before he turned back. "It brings me great comfort that Mr. Dodoria can ease my worries!"
Dodoria was pleasantly surprised; his bit of flattery had actually earned praise from King Frieza, and he was deeply moved.
He quickly bowed with one hand, performing a gesture of service.
"I swear to serve King Frieza until death!"
Frieza nodded in satisfaction at his gesture, then suddenly his expression turned stern, and a terrifying pressure erupted from his body.
His small frame contained such horrific power that the flight pod surrounding Frieza seemed like a mere decoration, completely unable to contain this aura.
The pressure spread to every corner of the palace, seemingly carrying the chill of the Nine Netherworlds—it was bone-chillingly cold.
Crack!
Thin ice began to form in the dark corners!
Dodoria trembled all over. It's over. Did I say something wrong?
"Mr. Dodoria, are you interested in seeing the most beautiful fireworks in the universe?"
Frieza's cold, raspy voice entered his pink ears.
Dodoria reacted instantly, ecstatic. King Frieza wasn't blaming him; he knew that every time King Frieza said those words, a planet would be destroyed!
If nothing went wrong, Planet Vegeta would likely not survive this!
Wait for death, you Saiyan monkeys!
Dodoria had long been unable to stand these Saiyans, who possessed low combat power yet were incredibly arrogant.
"Mr. Dodoria, give the order to King Vegeta. Tell him to gather all Saiyans currently on missions within one month. I want to pay a visit to Planet Vegeta!"
"Oh, and I heard he has a son with high potential. Have his son brought to headquarters to serve me!"
"As you command!"
Planet Vegeta.
King Vegeta sat at the head of the table, with other Saiyans seated on his left and right.
They had tails wrapped around their waists and wore specialized combat suits. Among them sat a Saiyan who looked very much like Goku.
"King Vegeta, is there an urgent matter for which you have summoned us?" Bardock asked with a frown.
Gine had just given birth to Kakarot two months ago. While he was taking care of Gine, he had suddenly received the emergency summons and rushed over.
Only upon arriving did he realize he wasn't the only one summoned; other clansmen who were also high-level Saiyan warriors had been called as well.
What kind of matter required summoning so many high-combat-power clansmen at once?
Could it be to conquer a high-level planet?
"Frieza has issued an order for us Saiyans to gather all those currently off-world within one month."
"Hmm?" Bardock sat in the corner, feeling a bit suspicious!
What exactly is Frieza planning?
Is he going to conquer other high-level planets?
The remaining Saiyans began to clamor.
Bardock looked at the others; it seemed he wasn't the only one thinking that.
King Vegeta raised his hands to quiet them!
"Frieza said he wants to visit Planet Vegeta and ordered us to gather all Saiyans to welcome him. Regardless, let's just get the clansmen back first."
King Vegeta then continued, "Our Saiyan development has been going very well recently. When Frieza arrives, we must ensure he does not discover our little schemes."
"Alright, if there is nothing else, the meeting is adjourned!"
After speaking, King Vegeta dismissed everyone; he still had to arrange for Vegeta to head to Frieza's headquarters.
After the meeting, Bardock felt a wave of unease.
This meeting felt like it had lit the fuse of a powder keg, detonating his steady state of mind and leaving him flustered and restless.
At night, after handling all the household chores, Bardock and Gine settled down to rest.
Half an hour after falling asleep, Bardock was drenched in sweat, his face filled with terror as if he were trapped in a horrific nightmare.
Bardock tossed and turned.
Suddenly!
Bardock straightened his body and bolted upright.
He gasped for air, his face covered in such a dense layer of sweat that anyone with trypophobia might feel a shiver down their spine!
Thump-thump!
Bardock's heart was pounding violently.
How terrifying!
Frieza is so terrifying!
Usually, memories of past dreams would fade upon waking, but he never expected this dream to be so vivid, as if he had been there in person. Furthermore, the memory remained fresh, with every detail from the dream crystal clear.
In the dream, Frieza possessed a combat power of 530,000—absolutely horrific!
One had to realize that among the Saiyan race, not even one person had a combat power of 20,000!
Even in the Great Ape form, they only reached a combat power of a little over 100,000!
Unbeatable!
"Bardock, what's wrong? Did you have a nightmare?"
Gine was startled awake by his sudden movements!
"It... it's nothing!" Bardock didn't want Gine to worry, so he quickly reassured her.
Having lived with him for so many years, Gine knew exactly what was on Bardock's mind; he was simply trying to keep her from worrying.
"Then let's get some rest," Gine thought for a moment. With nothing happening in the tribe recently, it probably wasn't a major issue.
"Right!" Bardock lay back down.
The order issued by Frieza was not that simple; the events of today were exactly the same as those in his dream!
What should I do!
