Kasso and Ausbie were preparing to head out when they suddenly heard a discussion drifting from the street.
"Have you heard about Broly?"
"That little guy who was born with a battle power of 10,000?"
"Yeah, what a pity!"
The Saiyans spoke with a tone of regret, adding that if King Vegeta could have tolerated Broly, the Saiyan race would have produced an invincible god of war within ten years.
"Broly!" Kasso muttered.
Kasso's eyes widened suddenly; he had almost forgotten about Broly.
Broly possessed the legendary Saiyan constitution, and his incubation pod had been placed right next to Kakarot's; every time Kakarot cried, he would join in.
This led to Broly developing a deep hatred for Kakarot as he grew up, causing him to fly into a rage whenever he saw Kakarot's face.
However, Broly was also a pitiful soul, exiled by King Vegeta at a young age and controlled by his father for his entire life, never knowing a shred of freedom.
Kasso grabbed the Saiyan's hand and asked anxiously, "Uncle, what has happened to Broly now?"
Ausbie stood to the side in silence, feeling a bit puzzled as to why her brother Kasso would be so agitated upon hearing the name Broly.
The Saiyan was stunned for a moment; he had never encountered such a polite little kid before, so he couldn't help but reply, "That little guy has already been exiled!"
"What's wrong? Do you know him?" the Saiyan asked, curious.
"No! Goodbye, Uncle, we're leaving!"
Kasso led Ausbie away from the spot.
Watching the two little brats leave, the Saiyans resumed their conversation.
"Chris, do you know that little guy?"
"Not at all, I've just never seen such a polite kid before!"
"It is a bit strange!"
Kasso and Ausbie were on their way to Bardock's house.
Ausbie looked up and asked, "Brother Kasso, who is Broly?"
"Uh, you'll know later."
Kasso shook his head; when he heard the news about Broly, he had actually considered trying to stop the exile.
Since Broly had already been sent away, he would just have to let him stay on Planet Vampa for a while.
Kasso had more important matters to attend to and couldn't spare the time right now.
Still, thinking of that old man Paragus, Kasso couldn't help but feel a sense of disgust.
In order to take revenge on King Vegeta, Paragus didn't hesitate to control his own son, never treating Broly like a human being at all!
As they walked, they arrived at Bardock's house.
However, just as he was about to knock on the door, Kasso heard voices talking inside.
"Garis, that is my explanation!"
"Sigh, this child, what can I even say!"
"Perhaps this is just what it means to be a Saiyan!"
The voices of Bardock and Garis drifted out.
Kasso smiled; so Garis was inside as well.
He knocked on the door, and the tightly shut entrance opened. It was Gine who opened it, though her expression was somewhat grim, as if she had encountered something distressing.
Kasso thought to himself: today Broly was exiled, so had Kakarot been sent away as well?
Perhaps that was why Gine looked so sad.
"Kasso, Little Biel, you're back!" Gine's expression softened slightly when she saw them.
"Yeah!" Kasso smiled and nodded.
"Aunt Gine!"
Ausbie happily hugged Gine.
Gine had always taken care of her and Kasso, and in Ausbie's heart, Gine was just like her own mother.
She leaned into Gine's embrace, feeling a sliver of warmth.
"Little Biel!" Gine hugged Ausbie back.
With Kakarot just having been sent away, Gine was at her lowest point, but the return of Ausbie and the others helped dilute the sorrow in her heart.
Garis had just been talking about Kasso, so seeing him now, he couldn't help but be excited: "Kasso, Little Biel, you're back!"
Back then, Kasso's parents had saved Garis's life, and Garis had come to treat Kasso like his own child; seeing his "kid" return safely made him very happy.
Bardock also came over and patted Kasso on the head; two years had passed, and the little guy finally didn't look so thin anymore!
Kasso kept the kindness of the elders in the room close to his heart; if it weren't for them, he would have died countless times over.
Returning to Planet Vegeta, he heard from everyone that Frieza would arrive in a little over ten days. Time was tight, and Kasso knew this was no time for small talk.
Kasso asked, "Uncle Bardock, have you had any bad premonitions lately?"
Bardock frowned. "How did you know?"
"I dreamt of a scene where Frieza destroys Planet Vegeta upon his arrival, and all of us Saiyans are wiped out!" Kasso didn't answer Bardock's question, choosing to fabricate this instead.
"What?" Gine couldn't even bring herself to be sad anymore.
Hearing Kasso's words, Garis felt his breath hitch.
Kasso's words struck Bardock hard. He had dreamt of the same thing before and dismissed it as false, but looking at it now, it was real!
Frieza was harboring evil intentions!
"I have had the same dream as well."
Bardock told everyone about his previous dream and mentioned that it was out of consideration for this situation that he had sent Kakarot away, though he kept the part about Kakarot transforming into a Super Saiyan to himself.
Gine's eyes widened. Bardock and Kasso had actually dreamt the same dream; she had only agreed to send Kakarot away after listening to Bardock's persuasion.
Now, Gine couldn't help but feel relieved that Kakarot had been sent away!
"Kasso, is this true?" Garis felt as if he had heard something earth-shattering.
"Yes!"
With that response, the atmosphere in the room instantly froze. A tense air spread to every corner, so quiet that one could even hear Gine's breathing!
"Captain, what do we do! We Saiyans can't stop Frieza!" Garis said, his face twisted with anxiety.
"Calm down and listen to what Kasso has to say. Since he chose to come back now, he must have a plan!" Bardock wasn't as frantic as Garis; he thought quietly for a moment before voicing his thoughts.
Ever since Kasso spoke of that dream, Bardock no longer viewed him as a child.
"Kasso, tell us your thoughts!"
"Over these past two years, I finished my mission on Mumu Planet early, and then..."
Kasso continued to recount what happened afterward.
He first went to Yardrat to learn Instant Transmission, then traveled to Namek to summon Shenron. Bardock and the others were stunned as they listened to these tales.
It turned out these two brats had experienced so much in just two years.
When Kasso mentioned Instant Transmission, Bardock and Garis widened their eyes; they hadn't imagined such a divine technique existed in this world.
Kasso continued, "Frieza's forces are surely monitoring all of Planet Vegeta by now. If we try to escape by spaceship, we won't succeed."
Bardock, lost in thought, said, "Are you planning to use Instant Transmission to take everyone off Planet Vegeta?"
