Hearing Kasso's gentle voice, Ausbie narrowed her eyes and snuggled into his arms.
"Big Brother Kasso, I'm hungry!"
She'd gone almost a whole day without eating. Ausbie pouted.
With one hand on her little tummy and her eyes wide and watery, she looked like a kitten.
"You little glutton!" Kasso couldn't help laughing.
Who could resist that pitiful little face? It was so adorable that it nearly melted the soul of the twenty-something-year-old man inside Kasso.
Night fell.
Before leading the Saiyans back to their homeworld, Kasso planned to explore Planet Sadala first.
"Little Biel, I'll take you to see the true homeworld of the Saiyans."
"Mm." Ausbie nodded, looking adorably vacant.
Kasso took Ausbie with him as he used Instant Transmission.
Planet Sadala.
The environment on Planet Sadala was much like Earth's: 70 percent water and only 30 percent land, making it very suitable for people to live on.
The land was covered in lush green plants. Since no one had developed it, wild grass grew everywhere, untamed and disorderly.
Amid the tangled grass, a few small flowers were scattered here and there. They were all different varieties, but shared one thing in common: their blossoms were bright and beautiful, like young girls in the bloom of youth, dancing as they revealed their budding grace!
It was still daytime on Planet Sadala, and two small figures appeared on the planet.
"Wow, is this Planet Sadala? It's so beautiful!" Ausbie's face lit up with delight.
The scenery was beautiful, and the air was so fresh.
Suddenly, Ausbie felt that something was different. She felt inexplicably comfortable here, as if she were lying in her big brother's arms, warmth spreading through her whole body and soul.
"Big Brother Kasso, do you feel anything?" Ausbie asked.
Kasso patted her little head but said nothing.
The moment he arrived on Planet Sadala, he'd sensed that there was something extraordinary about it.
As the Saiyans' ancestral homeworld, it had no shortage of legends.
In the Dragon Ball anime from his previous life, the Dragon Ball Super arc revealed that Universe 6 and Universe 7 were twin universes, where everything was initially paired. But as events unfolded, Planet Sadala in Universe 7 met its end, while the Saiyans' ancestral homeworld in Universe 6 remained intact, with many Saiyans still living there.
During the tournament between Universe 6 and Universe 7, Goku and Vegeta discovered that the Saiyans of Universe 6 couldn't transform into Super Saiyans, yet their base power was incredibly terrifying. This left them astonished!
Some people later speculated that the Saiyans of Universe 6 lived on their ancestral homeworld, where they were nurtured by the planet and had large amounts of S-Cells active in their bodies. They simply couldn't transform because they lacked the corresponding method.
Others wondered whether S-Cells could only be produced in greater numbers during peaceful times!
After all, the Saiyans of the past had all served Frieza, invading other planets and carrying out massacres and plunder wherever they went. As a result, they had relatively few S-Cells and couldn't transform into Super Saiyans.
Only later, after Planet Vegeta was destroyed and the surviving Saiyans lived in peace on Earth, did large amounts of S-Cells become active in their bodies, eventually turning them all into Super Saiyans!
Of course, there were plenty of other theories in his previous life, but most of them were pretty far-fetched.
Only when Kasso set foot on Planet Sadala did he realize that both of those theories might be true.
He carefully sensed the changes within his body. It felt as if something was taking shape inside him, though he couldn't quite describe the sensation. All he knew was that his whole body felt like it was soaking in a hot spring, the water flowing over his chest. It was incredibly comfortable!
Kasso narrowed his eyes. It truly was the Saiyans' ancestral homeworld!
He'd been right to restore Planet Sadala.
His body hadn't changed in any obvious way yet. He guessed that the "quantity" inside him would have to reach a certain level before it could bring about a change in "quality"!
He'd just have to wait.
Holding Little Biel's hand, Kasso walked forward step by step, exploring the Saiyans' ancient homeland.
The low plants gradually gave way to towering trees, one after another. Nearly every trunk was so massive that three adults couldn't wrap their arms around it. Kasso guessed they must have been over fifty years old.
The forest was lush, with branches spreading wide and the dense canopy blocking out the sunlight. Beneath the trees, it was cool and dim, as though the sun had already set.
Chirp, chirp!
"Big Brother Kasso, look!"
A clear, excited squeal rang in Ausbie's ears. She jumped up delightedly and pointed at a tree.
Kasso looked up and saw a bird of unknown species chirping in the branches.
Its feathers were neat and clean, bright red in color. It was small and slender, with a pointed beak. It held its head high, singing a clear, pleasant song!
Startled by Ausbie's cry, the bird flapped away in a panic.
"It flew away. Did I scare it?" Ausbie wondered aloud.
"It's okay. Come on, let's keep going!"
They crossed the forest and came to a plain. Fine, soft grass covered the ground, smooth and tidy like a golf course, with not a trace of disorder!
A few huge rocks rose from the middle of the plain! Grass grew all over them too. Kasso and Ausbie walked over, wondering how such enormous rocks had come to be here.
The rocks were about as tall as the entrance to an ordinary villa, and roughly two meters wide!
Huh?
Kasso frowned, raised his hand, and gathered a stream of ki.
Whoosh!
He blew hard, sending all the grass on top flying away.
They turned out to be sections of wall.
Since the walls' surfaces hadn't been exposed and were covered by grass, they hadn't weathered very badly!
Judging by their style, they looked much like the palace walls on Planet Vegeta!
Kasso thought it over. It seemed these were the remains of buildings left behind by the ancient Saiyans.
"Big Brother, I don't want to walk around anymore. I'm so hungry!"
Ausbie plopped down on the ground. Her little tail swished restlessly behind her, and her stomach growled. She rubbed it.
She'd been exploring all day and was so hungry she could barely walk, but Big Brother Kasso still wanted to keep looking. It wasn't fair!
"Little girl, how are you hungry again?" Kasso chuckled, covering his face.
She really was a little foodie!
After laughing, Kasso couldn't bear to let Little Biel go hungry. He sensed the planet and found that there were quite a few large animals on Planet Sadala.
Kasso disappeared for five seconds, then reappeared with two enormous wild boars slung over his shoulders.
"Little Biel, how about roasted wild boar for dinner?"
"Okay! I love the wild boar Big Brother Kasso roasts!" Ausbie replied sweetly.
Kasso blasted a small pit into the ground, then went into the forest to gather some firewood. Of course, he could roast the meat without firewood, cooking it with a scorching ki blast instead, but it was harder to control the heat, and the meat wouldn't have that smoky flavor.
As the saying went, meat roasted without firewood had no soul!
With practiced ease, Kasso slit open the two wild boars' bellies and removed their organs, then skewered them on branches.
Once he'd finished most of the preparations, he lit the firewood and set the two wild boars beside the campfire to roast!
Night began to fall!
Crackle, crackle!
The firewood popped as it burned!
"Little Biel, here, this one's for you. Careful, it's hot!" Kasso picked up one of the wild boars and handed it to her.
"Arigato! I'm digging in!" Ausbie could smell how delicious it was. Her mouth was practically watering, and she couldn't wait any longer. She took a big bite.
Kasso glanced at her and smiled, then started eating the roasted meat too.
