Leaving Planet Vegeta

After walking for a while, they came to a small house.

"Little Biel, I'm back." Carrying a big fish, Kasso entered the house and walked step by step toward the kitchen.

Ausbie came out of her room, clapped her hands, and said happily, "Big Brother Kasso, you're back! Wow, we're having fish again tonight."

These past few days, Kasso had brought back some prey every time he returned from training. He thought Little Biel was too skinny, and her battle power was low, not much higher than his own used to be—just over 100.

He had no idea what she'd been eating before. No wonder she'd been bullied.

But after a few days, Ausbie had started to put on some weight, and her complexion was no longer ashen. It had become rosy, all thanks to the prey.

Kasso prepared the big fish and put it on a rack to roast.

Soon, the fish was lightly browned.

As the aroma wafted from the fish, Ausbie nearly drooled.

"Big Brother Kasso, I'm hungry! I want some!" Ausbie stood in the doorway, her little brows knitted together.

"It's ready." Kasso smiled. This girl really was a little glutton.

After dinner, Ausbie held Kasso's arm as they sat together on a chair.

"Big Brother Kasso, I'm so full!" Ausbie rubbed her little belly, which had put on a bit of weight.

"I'll keep catching big fish for you, all right?"

"Mm!" Ausbie smiled sweetly.

Kasso patted her head. From the memories he'd gained through Fusion, he knew that Little Biel was often bullied by Nappa and the others. Sometimes she'd been beaten until she was covered in bruises, then she'd come crying to her Big Brother Kasso.

In his previous life, Kasso had been beaten up just as badly trying to avenge her.

No wonder the girl was so attached to him.

Thinking of this, Kasso felt a pang in his heart. The girl was so adorable—how could Nappa bring himself to bully her?

Still, having killed Nappa today made Kasso feel a little better. He'd never let the girl be bullied again!

Kasso's thoughts wandered.

He thought about his training over the past few days.

He was getting stronger much faster than before, but there were many training methods he couldn't use here. While training, he had to stay alert every moment and make sure no one was nearby.

Saiyans were a rather ruthless race. Who knew what might happen if someone else discovered his current situation? And he didn't dare go to the dangerous places.

I can't keep going like this. After several days, my battle power has only increased by this much. At this rate, how long will it take me to reach Frieza's strength? I have to find a way to leave this planet with Little Biel, Kasso thought.

Otherwise, once Frieza started monitoring Planet Vegeta, it would be too late.

Even after avenging his previous life, Kasso couldn't relax. He had to watch out for investigations by Vegeta and Nappa's family, while also worrying that Frieza could monitor Planet Vegeta at any moment.

After considering it from every angle, leaving Planet Vegeta seemed like the best choice.

But how could he get off Planet Vegeta?

"Right, I can ask Bardock." Kasso suddenly thought of Bardock, the squad captain of his parents in his previous life.

"Little Biel, I'm going to Uncle Bardock's house."

Kasso lifted Ausbie and set her down beside him, then stood and headed for the door.

"Come back soon, Big Brother Kasso!" Ausbie said obediently.

"Mm!"

Planet Vegeta's nights were beautiful. With no clouds in sight, stars glittered deep in space, a dazzling sight.

The moon was bright tonight, making the road perfectly clear. Fortunately, it wasn't full, or Kasso wouldn't have dared to go out.

Under a full moon, Saiyans with tails absorbed Blutz Waves and quickly transformed into enormous Great Apes, increasing their strength tenfold.

But they couldn't have it both ways. Ordinary Saiyans lost their minds when they transformed into Great Apes and knew only destruction. They wouldn't return to normal until the moon disappeared or someone cut off their tails.

Only members of the Saiyan royal family and a few special Saiyans could stay rational in their ape forms. Vegeta was one of them.

When he reached Bardock's house, Kasso knocked on the door.

"Uncle Bardock, could you open the door? It's me."

The door soon opened from the inside. A female Saiyan stood there—Bardock's wife, Gine.

"Kasso, it's you. What brings you here to see Bardock?"

Kasso got straight to the point and explained that he wanted Bardock to arrange a mission for him and Ausbie.

After hearing why he'd come, Bardock thought it over, then asked, "I promised your parents I'd take good care of you. Are you sure you want to go on a mission?"

"Yes," Kasso said.

Bardock considered it, then nodded in agreement.

Bardock knew that flowers raised in a greenhouse struggled to bloom. Only by leaving the eagle's shelter could they soar through the sky.

He'd gone through the same thing himself. As a Low-Class Warrior, his talent wasn't as great as Kasso's, an Elite Warrior. He'd been sent out on missions at a young age and had endured countless hardships before reaching his current strength.

So perhaps it was better to let go sooner.

"Thank you, Uncle Bardock. I'll do my best to get stronger."

Kasso breathed a sigh of relief. He'd thought Bardock would press him for an explanation.

Just as Kasso was about to leave, Bardock suddenly asked, "Kasso, have you seen that kid Nappa?"

The question made Kasso's heart clench. Had Bardock found out?

A flurry of thoughts ran through Kasso's mind, but he simply said that he hadn't.

Bardock told Kasso about Nappa. Nappa had been missing for a day, and perhaps something had happened to him. Bardock had always known about the grudge between Kasso and Nappa, but they were both children, so he hadn't wanted to interfere. In the end, Bardock told Kasso to stay home for a while, so he wouldn't get caught up in the matter.

From the memories he'd gained, Kasso knew that Bardock had genuinely been good to him and Ausbie.

With that worry taken care of, Kasso breathed a sigh of relief. But he still had to leave Planet Vegeta as soon as possible. If anyone found out he'd killed Nappa, even Bardock might not be able to protect him.

Several days passed.

Two small spaceships were parked in the middle of the plaza, with two short figures standing beside them.

"Big Brother Kasso, are we really going on a mission? I'm scared!" the little girl said nervously.

With Bardock looking after her, Ausbie had only ever been bullied by Nappa. As an Elite Saiyan, she hadn't needed to go on missions to destroy planets. But she'd occasionally overheard her people talking, and some who went on missions had died out there.

The thought made Ausbie even more afraid!

"Little Biel, don't be scared. I'll protect you."

Kasso didn't feel safe leaving Ausbie alone on Planet Vegeta. Without him to protect her, she might get dragged into the matter of Nappa's death. How could he feel at ease going off on his own?

She was the person he cared about most in the Dragon Ball World!

Kasso patted Little Biel's head to reassure her.

Besides, Frieza would destroy Planet Vegeta before long, so Kasso planned to complete the mission and then not return to the planet.

He intended to go to Namek to search for the legendary Dragon Balls, then travel to Yardrat to learn the ultimate escape technique, Instant Transmission.

Ausbie climbed into her spaceship, and Kasso set its flight instructions.

Standing outside Ausbie's spaceship, Kasso gave her a determined look through the transparent window, then returned to his own ship.

Whoosh...

The two spaceships shot out long trails of flame. Waves of heat surged as the high-temperature exhaust propelled them off the ground and into the universe beyond the planet.
