"Is the Gravity Chamber so big that it can be turned into a Hoi-Poi Capsule?" Kasso was thrilled when he saw the Gravity Chamber, but how was he supposed to take something that huge with him?
"That's only its most basic function. Don't worry!"
Just then, a glint of wisdom flashed behind Dr. Briefs's black-rimmed glasses. "Would you like to try out the Gravity Chamber?"
He could hardly wait to hear what Kasso thought of the Music System he had designed.
"Sure!" Kasso was a little excited and didn't notice Dr. Briefs's expression.
He knew exactly what the Gravity Chamber was good for.
After Vegeta moved to Earth, he spent all day living in the Gravity Chamber and was able to keep chasing after Goku. The Gravity Chamber was a big part of the reason.
After Dr. Briefs explained how it worked, Kasso had a basic understanding of how to operate the Gravity Chamber.
He slowly opened the door. The inside was very simple, with almost nothing in it. It was much like an ordinary training room, except for a round box in one corner. He had no idea what it was for, and Dr. Briefs hadn't mentioned it.
Never mind. I'll worry about that later!
Kasso could hardly wait to try out the Gravity Chamber.
"Set gravity to 25 times!"
At Kasso's quiet command, the entire Gravity Chamber sprang into action.
The chamber rumbled like a beast poised to pounce.
Suddenly!
The air felt stifling, and a terrifying pressure weighed down on Kasso's entire body.
Luckily, he had already gotten used to 25 times gravity in the Heavenly Realm.
Otherwise, he would have been flattened against the floor.
Still, his arms and legs felt heavy. He could feel his body and even his internal organs growing unbearably heavy.
"Just as I thought!"
Everything was as Kasso had expected. Weighted Clothing only affected his body; it did nothing for his internal organs.
The Gravity Chamber was much better.
Just then!
The little box in the corner let out a loud noise.
"Who's there?"
Kasso was startled so badly that he fell flat on the floor. He hadn't been crushed by 25 times gravity, but now he'd been scared into collapsing.
Loud music blared beside him: "You're my little apple, how could I ever love you too much..."
"Dr. Briefs, you jerk!"
The moment he heard the music, he knew it was Dr. Briefs's handiwork.
He'd thought Dr. Briefs was acting a little strange earlier. He never imagined he'd spring such a surprise on him!
Damn it.
"Turn off the gravity!" Kasso slowly struggled to his feet and called out helplessly.
In an instant, the pressure on him vanished, replaced by an incredible lightness.
The Gravity Chamber really was impressive. After only a short while, Kasso could already feel his strength beginning to loosen up.
Were Saiyans really that ridiculously tough?
Kasso shook his head. Even though the Grand Elder had unlocked his potential on Namek, he had then trained in the Heavenly Realm for a month, so his potential must have grown even greater.
Under this pressure, his potential was being released quickly. He didn't believe the Gravity Chamber could raise someone's strength without limit. If it really were that powerful, Vegeta would have surpassed Goku ages ago!
Outside the Gravity Chamber, Dr. Briefs gazed at the closed door, thinking that the little fellow must be enjoying his Music System.
"Big Brother Kasso's coming out!" Ausbie said happily.
Everyone looked toward the door.
It slowly swung open, and Kasso walked out.
"So, my Music System is great, isn't it?" Briefs said matter-of-factly.
He had complete confidence in his Music System.
How could a warrior train hard without a good song to keep him company?
When Dr. Briefs saw Kasso fall silent, he figured the boy must be very pleased.
Sometimes silence spoke louder than words!
Dr. Briefs felt a tremendous sense of accomplishment.
Kasso: "..."
It was as if a stampede of horses were galloping through his mind. He was at a complete loss for words.
After a moment of silence,
"Thank you, Dr. Briefs!" Kasso said sincerely.
He was a little speechless about that little prank, but he was still very grateful to Dr. Briefs.
After all, he hadn't done much to help Dr. Briefs before. He'd only gotten some Hoi-Poi Capsules back for him.
Those Capsules and this Gravity Chamber weren't even in the same league in terms of value.
Just then, Bulma ran over and rested her little hand on Kasso's shoulder. "Kasso, is the Gravity Chamber my dad built easy to use?"
"It is!" Kasso nodded earnestly.
Of course the Gravity Chamber was useful. He'd felt his strength improve after spending only a short while inside!
But what was she getting at? Kasso was a little confused.
"Since it is, and my dad built you a Gravity Chamber, will you teach me how to fly?" Bulma asked, looking at Kasso with excitement.
She'd been utterly amazed when she saw Kasso flying through the air earlier.
She'd never heard of anyone being able to fly without any outside help.
When Kasso didn't answer, Bulma had no idea what he was thinking!
Was that a no?
How mean!
Besides Kasso, that slightly older girl seemed to be able to fly too.
With that in mind, Bulma walked over to Ausbie and said affectionately, "Little Biel, could you teach me?"
She had no other choice. Kasso hadn't given her an answer, and Ausbie was the only other person who could fly. If this big sister taught her, she'd be able to show off at school!
Just thinking about it made her happy.
Tights: "..."
There was no way she could miss what her little sister was thinking.
Kasso ignored them and asked Dr. Briefs to pack the Gravity Chamber away in Capsule form.
The Gravity Chamber was so huge that he couldn't take it with Instant Transmission. Luckily, the genius Dr. Briefs had invented Hoi-Poi Capsules.
Once it was turned into a Hoi-Poi Capsule, he could simply slip it into his pocket and take it back to Planet Sadala with ease.
A little while later,
Kasso turned around and saw Ausbie and Bulma already getting along like old friends, chatting and laughing together.
Tights, standing beside them, glanced at him and shrugged, looking a little helpless.
Kasso: "This..."
Over with Ausbie,
"Little Biel, could you take me flying?" Bulma tugged at Ausbie's little hand.
She'd always seen people flying in movies and wanted to know what it felt like to soar freely through the sky.
"All right," Ausbie replied, puffing out her cheeks and speaking like a little grown-up.
She'd just made a new little friend, so she might as well take her to play. Kids these days were such a handful.
Ausbie seemed to have forgotten that she was a child herself.
Kasso and Tights: "..."
Kasso was dumbfounded by the sight. Had Little Biel been possessed by some wicked spirit?
But seeing her puffed-up cheeks, he found her inexplicably adorable. His heart practically melted.
In the blink of an eye, the two little tykes, each about a meter tall, rose into the air and flew out through the doorway.
