Bardock bared his teeth and cursed. He'd let his guard down, and now he could only take a beating. He couldn't fight back at all.
Ausbie might've been little, but the power inside her was no less than Bardock's. Her punches landed squarely on him, hurting like hell.
"Uncle Bardock, go eat some dirt!"
Ausbie drew on the power within her and gathered it in her lower leg. She spun rapidly through eighty-two revolutions in the air, each turn building more power in her leg.
By the eighty-second revolution, Ausbie's lower leg seemed to glow. She put all her strength into one kick and struck Bardock squarely in the back.
"Ah!"
Under the force of that terrifying blow, Bardock shot toward the sand like a cannonball.
Boom!
The sand that had just settled began to churn again, filling the sky.
After a while.
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!
The hot wind swept the sand out of the air, and the view cleared.
Bardock was buried in the sand, with only his furry tail sticking out. It twitched every now and then.
"Hehe, Uncle Bardock, are you okay?" Ausbie giggled and slowly floated down beside him.
The tail on top of the sand twitched twice, but the person beneath it still didn't move.
After a while.
Bardock wriggled free of the sand, spat some out, and grumbled, "You little brat, hurry up and help me up."
Feeling the pain all over his body, Bardock sighed. It was a good thing Ausbie had held back; otherwise, he would've needed to use a precious Senzu Bean.
But Ausbie had told him to go eat dirt, and he'd ended up with a mouthful of sand.
What a disgrace!
A while ago, Bardock had sensed that Ausbie wasn't his match. When she suddenly asked him to spar today, he'd thought she just wanted to practice her fighting skills.
He hadn't expected her to make him eat dirt!
He had around 50,000 in battle power now, and she'd still beaten him!
Just how high was Ausbie's battle power?
At the thought, Bardock couldn't help but shudder. Were Elite Warriors really this powerful and carefree?
Bardock glared at Ausbie like a wronged wife.
"Hehe!" Ausbie helped Bardock to his feet and gave him a silly smile.
Seeing her innocent expression, Bardock had nowhere to direct his anger. It wasn't as if he could say, "Little girl, just let me beat you up so I can vent!"
He didn't have the nerve, and besides, he couldn't bring himself to hit her when she looked so pure and sweet.
"Let's go." Bardock spat out another mouthful of sand and sighed helplessly.
In the valley.
A small river flowed gently. With a swish, two figures appeared in front of the wooden cabin beneath the towering trees.
Ausbie used Instant Transmission to take Bardock back to the cabin.
"The captain's back!"
Garis saw the two appear out of nowhere and smiled. "Captain, which one of you won?"
Bardock: "..."
Garis hadn't actually said anything, but Bardock couldn't help feeling the kid was mocking him.
He couldn't beat Kasso or Ausbie, but surely he could teach this kid a lesson?
Bardock said coldly, "Garis, I don't think you've had enough training today. Go do ten more sets using Kasso's training method."
"Huh?"
"What do you mean, 'huh'? Do twenty more sets. If you don't finish, I'll—"
Before Bardock could finish, Garis disappeared from their sight without even looking back.
As he left, he kept grumbling under his breath.
Hearing their exchange, Ausbie couldn't help covering her mouth and giggling.
"Gine, where's that kid Kasso?" Bardock walked into the house and saw Gine preparing lunch.
Gine kept working without looking up. "I don't know!"
Bardock nodded. It wasn't the first time that kid had vanished without a trace.
The Saiyans just needed to make good use of the Gravity Chamber and Senzu Beans to train. They shouldn't get involved in matters beyond their planet for now. Besides, Frieza's forces were still hunting down the Saiyans who'd escaped Planet Vegeta!
If they went out into space carelessly and Frieza's forces discovered that over 150 Saiyans were still on Planet Sadala, the Saiyans would be plunged into war all over again.
Bardock didn't want that to happen, but Kasso had Instant Transmission and could come and go without a trace, so he wasn't worried about him.
"Lunch is ready!" Gine finished tidying up the things on the table and called the two over to eat.
"Okay."
The older and younger Saiyan sat at the table and waited quietly for Gine to bring out the food.
"Little Biel, you..."
Before Bardock could finish, Ausbie abruptly cut him off and said sternly, "Uncle Bardock, don't say anything yet."
As soon as she spoke, the wooden cabin fell silent. Ausbie's icy voice made Bardock's heart clench.
What was going on?
Gine was still preparing things in the kitchen. Nobody spoke in the living room.
As time passed,
the tension grew.
Bardock didn't even dare breathe.
Ausbie furrowed her brow. "Someone's broken into Planet Sadala!"
"What?" Bardock sprang to his feet in alarm. Had Frieza's forces tracked them down?
After Planet Vegeta exploded, Frieza knew there were many Saiyans who hadn't made it back in time. He'd decided to exterminate every last one of these stragglers. Of course, he'd spared Goku and Vegeta, the two main characters!
That was why Bardock was so anxious. He was afraid Frieza had discovered Planet Sadala.
"There's no mistake!"
Ausbie sounded completely certain.
The Saiyans no longer had Scouters, so it was understandable that Bardock couldn't sense anyone's movements.
But Ausbie could sense ki. She felt two distinct clusters of ki rapidly descending toward Planet Sadala from above.
One was ahead of the other. The cluster behind was stronger than the one in front, as if it were chasing it.
"Little Biel, take me to where they're landing, now!" Bardock's face was creased with worry.
He wanted to reach the scene as quickly as possible. If they really belonged to Frieza's forces, they'd have to find a way to get the Saiyans off this planet right away!
Otherwise, they'd be done for once Frieza arrived!
"Uncle Bardock, relax. They aren't strong. Any one of our people could beat them."
Ausbie sensed that each of the two groups was made up of a dozen or so ki signatures. They were all fairly weak, with the strongest reaching only 5,000 in battle power.
The Saiyans had been training in the Gravity Chamber for two months. Not every Saiyan was like Goku, a protagonist who could go from 8,000 to 90,000 in battle power in a month, but they'd still improved quite a lot.
As far as Ausbie knew, aside from the dozens of Saiyans who handled support work, all the Saiyans now had at least 6,000 in battle power. That included the female Saiyans, of course.
So there was no need to worry about these visitors from beyond.
"Little Biel, it's not those weaklings I'm worried about. I'm worried they'll expose our Saiyans' location!" Seeing that Ausbie still hadn't moved, Bardock grew even more anxious.
At his words, Ausbie suddenly realized how serious the situation was. She couldn't help shivering.
"Uncle Bardock, let's go!"
Ausbie quickly placed her hand on Bardock and activated Instant Transmission.
