Gaino and Laiya arrived at Dr. Brief's company and saw him inspecting a spaceship. When he noticed Gaino, Dr. Brief hurried over and said, "Gaino, I've finished your Gravity Chamber. Come take a look."
Gaino said, "You really are Earth's most outstanding scientist. You built the Gravity Chamber so quickly! I thought I'd have to wait a few more days!"
"Don't tease me. Compared to the top scientists in the universe, a scientist from Earth like me is nothing. You should take a look at the Gravity Chamber!"
"Sure, I'll take a look." Gaino walked into the spaceship, where an enormous Gravity Chamber stood before him. Dr. Brief explained, "This is the control panel. The maximum gravity is currently 200 times Earth's gravity. That's the most I can manage because of the limitations of Earth's technology."
"This is the shower room, this is the music room, and over here is the dining room. You can eat here after training."
"That's everything the Gravity Chamber has. Is there anything else you'd like me to add?"
"No, it's already great. I'm very satisfied with the Gravity Chamber. Thank you, Dr. Brief."
"I should be the one thanking you. You showed me the technology of the universe, and I learned a great deal of science from your spaceship. I suppose this is what you'd call mutual benefit!"
Gaino said, "In that case, we'll be on our way. We've already spent a long time on Earth. It's time for us to leave."
"Goodbye, Dr. Brief."
"All right, goodbye. I knew you'd leave eventually. But, Gaino, will you come back to Earth someday?"
"I will, Dr. Brief. I'll be coming to Earth often from now on."
Gaino and Laiya boarded the spaceship and shut the hatch. They waved to Dr. Brief, then pressed the launch button. The ship swiftly became a streak of light and shot into space.
After watching them leave, Dr. Brief returned to his laboratory. He was going to invent the Hoi-Poi Capsule.
At the Lookout, the Guardian asked Popo, "Popo, do you think Gaino will protect Earth in the future?"
Popo replied, "Guardian, Popo doesn't know. But Popo knows that Gaino is a good person."
Hearing this, the Guardian nodded.
Inside the spaceship, Laiya asked, "Brother Gaino, where are we going next?"
"Our next training destination is Namek. Set the ship's coordinates for Namek. We'll be able to increase our power quickly there."
"Laiya, I'm going to train in the Gravity Chamber. What about you?"
"Of course I'm going to train too!"
"Then let's do it together!"
Gaino and Laiya went to the Gravity Chamber. Gaino said, "Let's start with 20 times gravity!" As soon as he pressed the control, both he and Laiya felt as if a mountain had landed on them. After a while, Gaino adapted to the crushing gravity, but Laiya still hadn't.
Gaino began walking around the chamber. After a while, he started running, then throwing punches and kicks as he began to train. Watching his monstrous physique, Laiya exclaimed, "What a freak! He adapted to 20 times gravity so quickly!"
Laiya kept struggling to adjust to the 20 times gravity, but no matter how hard she tried, she eventually collapsed beneath it. Gaino came over and helped her up. "Laiya, why don't you go outside for now? You can train again after I'm finished."
"Here's what you should do: start training at 15 times gravity. Once you've adjusted to that, move on to 20 times. Don't rush it. You'll only hurt yourself."
Laiya thought it over for a moment, then said, "All right. I really can't handle 20 times gravity yet. But I'll catch up with you soon."
Gaino said, "I know you'll catch up with me soon, little sister Laiya. You're an elite warrior! I'm not even a Low-Class Warrior. You'll definitely catch up to me and might even surpass me. I've always believed you have that kind of potential."
"Come on, go outside. If you stay under this gravity any longer, I think your body will give out. Hurry, I'll help you."
Laiya said haughtily, "Hmph! I can walk out by myself. If I can't even handle this much pressure, how am I supposed to surpass you?"
"Yes, yes, you're the best, Laiya," Gaino said.
"You don't have to tell me that. Now, get to your training. I'm heading out first."
"All right." After watching Laiya leave the Gravity Chamber, Gaino began powering up. The entire chamber shook. Outside, Laiya felt his energy and involuntarily stepped back. What a monster! How had I never realized Brother Gaino was this powerful?
But Laiya had no idea that Gaino was no longer the same person who couldn't even sense ki. He was now a Saiyan with the Ancient Saiyan Bloodline.
Gaino continued to sweat as he trained in the Gravity Chamber. The room was filled with the shadows of his punches and kicks. He kept striking until the ki inside him was completely exhausted. Then he went to the control panel and turned off the gravity. The moment the gravity disappeared, Gaino staggered and nearly fell to the floor.
"Wow, I feel so light!" Gaino sensed the ki in his body, and it had increased several times over. He realized his battle power had reached 4.5 million. Is this the terrifying power of the Ancient Saiyan Bloodline? The greater the pressure, the faster my ki grows, and the stronger I become.
It looked like he'd need an even bigger Gravity Chamber in the future.
As soon as Gaino left the Gravity Chamber, Laiya hurried inside. She didn't want the gap between them to keep growing.
And so Gaino and Laiya kept training in the Gravity Chamber, gradually adapting to its gravity: 20 times, 30 times, 50 times.
One day, two figures clashed repeatedly inside the Gravity Chamber. Gaino and Laiya were sparring, and the sounds of punches and kicks rang throughout the room. Suddenly, Gaino punched Laiya and sent her flying.
Laiya quickly said, "I'm done, I'm done! Brother Gaino wins every time. This isn't fun at all."
Gaino came over to her and asked, "Laiya, what's your base battle power now?"
"Why are you asking?"
"Tell me your base battle power, and I'll make you stronger than me. How does that sound? Interested?"
"Pfft, Brother Gaino's trying to trick me again," Laiya said.
"I'm really not. Now tell me your base battle power." Laiya said, "It's three million now. But no matter how hard I train, my battle power seems stuck at that level."
"That's it, Laiya. I'm going to help you transform into a Super Saiyan. You've reached the required base battle power, but it still isn't enough. You need to keep working harder."
"A Super Saiyan? What's that? Is the transformation really that powerful?"
"Of course. When you transform into a Super Saiyan, your battle power will shoot past 100 million."
"That's amazing! I want to transform. Let's keep training!"
