Laiya piloted the ship, rapidly closing in on the Demon Clan vessel.

On the Demon Clan ship:

"Report, General! We have detected a ship heading toward our Demon Clan vessel."

"Oh? Such a thing? We of the Demon Clan have run rampant in the North Galaxy for so many years, and no one has ever dared to intercept our ship. Let me see who has the guts to block my, Angila's, ship."

This demon was named Angila, a member of another major force in the universe—a subordinate of Lord Slug, the king of Planet Slug. Slug was a Namekian who had been sent away by his parents to Planet Slug as a child. When Slug was born, he possessed immense combat power and a heart of evil. After being sent to Planet Slug, he used his overwhelming strength to unify the planet, declaring himself king and the Emperor of the Universe.

Slug was incredibly evil. After unifying Planet Slug, he treated his subordinates with extreme cruelty, killing them mercilessly for the slightest mistake.

This Angila was one of Slug's subordinates.

Opening the hatch, Angila shouted at Gaino and the others, "Who are you people? How dare you block my, Angila's, ship! Do you have a death wish? If you know what's good for you, get lost, or I'll wipe you out of existence!"

Hearing this, Gaino remarked, "You've got a big mouth. Come on, Laiya, let's go meet this Demon Clan member who wants to wipe us out."

Gaino opened the hatch, looked at Angila across the way, and said, "You aren't very tall, but your mouth is certainly big, isn't it?"

Upon hearing this, Angila flew into a rage and shouted at Gaino, "We of the Demon Clan have run rampant in the North Galaxy for years; even the Frieza Force gives us a wide berth. You brat actually dare to be so rude to us? In that case, you can go to hell!"

With that, Angila fired a ki blast directly at Gaino. Gaino immediately stepped in front of Laiya and extended one hand, blocking the blast instantly. This stunned Angila.

Gaino then tightened his fingers, and the ki blast Angila had fired was crushed into nothingness.

Angila panicked. Anyone capable of crushing his energy blast so easily was clearly far stronger than him, and he began to consider retreating.
