Piccolo's sudden attack shattered Dr. Gero's plan. Dr. Gero vanished right before everyone's eyes, leaving them unable to understand what he had intended.
Piccolo studied the mechanical arm in his hand. Vegeta said to him, "Why did you suddenly attack? Do you think that piece of trash could have hurt me?"
Looking at the mechanical arm, Piccolo said to Vegeta, "If I hadn't acted quickly, you'd probably be a pile of mush by now."
"What? You actually dare look down on me? I could take down ten of that kind of trash," Vegeta said.
"Look at this mechanical arm. There seems to be a spiral-shaped hole in its palm. I suspect this device absorbs the ki inside a person's body. That's why I said that if I hadn't acted in time, that guy would have already absorbed all the ki in your body. Otherwise, would you still have the strength to stand here talking to me?" Piccolo said.
Vegeta looked at the mechanical arm in Piccolo's hand. Though he acknowledged what Piccolo had said, his pride would not let him yield so easily.
Vegeta snorted and turned away.
Holding the mechanical arm, Piccolo passed Vegeta and came to Goku's side. Goku had taken the special medicine and was already fine.
Goku took the mechanical arm from Piccolo and examined it for a long while. "It's probably just as Piccolo said. This device can absorb the ki in our bodies."
"Hey, Vegeta! If that's the case, you should be thanking Piccolo," Goku called out to Vegeta.
"Hmph. Prince Vegeta needing him to save me? What a joke." After saying that, Vegeta turned his head away and ignored everyone.
