As Gaino and the others appeared at Kami's Lookout, Tiantian, the new Guardian of Earth, and Popo had already been waiting there. Since Tiantian was Earth's new Guardian, he observed everything that happened on the planet. Naturally, he knew of Gaino and Trunks's arrival.
When Gaino appeared, Tiantian walked up to him and said, "Gaino, you're here. I've been waiting for you."
Gaino said, "Do I know you?"
"You don't know me, but I know you. I know everything that happens on Earth. I'm Earth's new Guardian. You should know the previous Guardian—Mr. Piccolo and the Guardian merged into one, so I became the new Guardian."
