Gaino struck back, throwing a punch that hit Laiya in the stomach and staggered her. Seizing the opening, Laiya punched toward Gaino, but she missed again.
Laiya sensed everything around her. Suddenly, a sweeping kick came at her and struck her lower leg. Caught off guard, she was hit in the stomach, waist, chin, and arms in quick succession, while every one of her attacks missed.
"I'm done! I can't hit you no matter what I do, Brother Gaino. This is just a waste of energy!"
Gaino came over to Laiya. "Well, Laiya? Big brother's still big brother, right? Your battle power may be higher than mine, but if you can't hit me, it's like trying to smash a sponge with an iron hammer. You're just wasting your strength."
"Brother Gaino, I clearly hit you every time! Why did I only hit your afterimages?"
"How do I explain this? You did hit me, but you hit the version of me in this dimension. My real body was in another dimension. It's a technique called Time Skip.
