That's right! Didn't I tell you last time? Plucking a sheep's wool is more fun when you take your time. I think our little lamb has grown enough, so we can go shear him.
Great! I didn't get enough fun last time. I hope Slug gives me a little more amusement this time. Otherwise, it'd be so boring that Slug wouldn't even deserve the title. He's the Demon King of Planet Slug, after all. How could he be the Demon King if he's that dull?

Looks like Brother Gaino plans to slaughter this sheep and toss him straight into the pot this time. He's going to wipe him out completely.

When Bardock heard Gaino and Laiya talking about shearing wool, he immediately grew interested. He hurried over to them and asked, "My King, what were you and Laiya saying about shearing wool? Does it have anything to do with our mission?"
Of course it does. Shearing wool is just a little side trip this time. Slug is only a tool for our amusement.
"Slug..." Bardock murmured the name. Then his eyes widened as he looked at Gaino and Laiya.
Bardock asked, "My King, do you mean the Slug who's known as one of the two emperors of the universe alongside Frieza?"
That's right! That Slug. What's wrong, Bardock? Is there a problem?
"My King, the fact that Slug is known as an emperor of the universe alongside Frieza means he's incredibly powerful. At the very least, he's no weaker than Frieza—in fact, he may be even stronger!
"Frieza destroyed Planet Vegeta with just a flick of his finger. The scene still flashes before my eyes. I can still remember how helpless I felt.

"You? Of course you can. Not only can you transform into a Super Saiyan, your transformation will be even more powerful than an ordinary Saiyan's."
"Really? I'm that amazing?" Broly said, looking dazed.
"My King, can I become a Super Saiyan?" Bardock asked.
"Yes. Your talent and determination mean you already have the potential to transform into a Super Saiyan."
Bardock said, "Good. Then during this mission, I'll definitely transform into a Super Saiyan." He clenched his fists tightly to show his determination.
Laiya said, "My King, we'll reach Planet Slug in another day. Would you like to rest, or...?"
Gaino looked at Broly and Bardock. "It's up to you. Do you want to rest, or—"
"Of course we're going to train! Why would we rest? We need to make the most of our time. I'm going to become a Super Saiyan!" Broly said.
"I'm training too, of course. If Broly's going to become a Super Saiyan, I can't fall behind," Bardock said.
"Good. Then let's go train! Laika, open the Gravity Chamber."
"Of course, my King."
Laika's fingers flew across the controls, and the Gravity Chamber opened.
Gaino and the others walked inside.
"The Saiyans really are a warrior race. They're already training again," Laika murmured.
The day passed in training before they knew it, and Gaino and the others finally reached Planet Slug.
The Gravity Chamber door opened. Bardock and Broly's clothes were tattered, their faces were covered in dust, and blue bruises marked their skin. Gaino and Laiya, by contrast, looked neat and tidy, with rosy complexions and energetic expressions. It seemed Bardock and Broly had been given another thorough beating by Gaino and Laiya.
Broly said, "Brother Gaino, Sister Laiya, you were way too rough!"
"Look at the state you left me in! If you'd hit me any harder, you would've turned me into a punching bag."
"Right. I completely agree with Broly," Bardock said.
"That was just sparring. If we'd been fighting for real, you two would already be dead at the hands of Brother Gaino and me. We were more than merciful."
"Sister Laiya, you say that so righteously. If I weren't weaker than you, I'd have—"
"What? What would you have done?" Laiya fixed her gaze on Broly.
Broly instantly felt a chill as her eyes turned toward him.
"Nothing, Sister Laiya. How could I possibly do anything to you? You're powerful, and you're beautiful, too. I'm sure you won't hold my careless words against me, right?"
Laiya said, "You're not wrong about either of those things, but I'm the kind of person who holds a grudge over the smallest thing. You little brat, you've got some nerve, criticizing me. Take this!"
Broly hurried out and called to Gaino, "Brother Gaino, hurry and stop Sister Laiya! She's going to kill her own little brother!"
Before Broly could finish speaking, there was a sharp smack.
"Ow! My butt! That hurts!"
"Ah! Aah! Stop hitting me, Sister Laiya! I know I was wrong. Stop, or you'll beat my butt black and blue!"
"All right, you two, stop messing around. We've reached Planet Slug, and we have serious business to take care of."
At Gaino's words, Laiya stopped tormenting Broly.
"You're lucky. I'll let you off this time."
Laiya released her hold on Broly and went to stand beside Gaino.
Gaino handed Broly and Bardock a small bag of Senzu Beans. "These are Senzu Beans. If you're seriously injured, as long as you're not dead, one bean will instantly heal your wounds.
"I'm giving each of you a small bag. Keep it safe—these can save your life. Eat one each now. We have work to do."
Broly and Bardock each ate a Senzu Bean, and their injuries healed at once.
"Laika, bring the spaceship closer to Planet Slug. I'm going to give them a grand present."
