"Hello there, little one." After Salomon stepped through the portal carrying snacks, he saw a little girl in a pink nightgown with two braided pigtails peeking curiously into it. Her little legs, which had been trembling before, were now standing perfectly steady.

Clearly, she was familiar with this sort of thing and did not seem particularly surprised.

In her little mind, this round object that people could walk out of, glowing with warm light, was very similar to the thing that had brought her here. It just was not as bright. Still, she considered them to be the same kind of thing. When Salomon emerged from the portal, the little girl visibly drooped, because he was not the person she had been hoping to see.

She lowered her head and gloomily tapped the ground with the round toes of her shoes. Not even Salomon's greeting could make her look up.

"Uh... that woman asked me to come." Salomon pointed at Bayonetta, who was confronting the angel ahead.

"Keep an eye on that little one!" the Witch shouted without looking back, apparently having great faith in Salomon's ability to babysit.

"Mommy!" The little girl looked up and spoke in a soft, sweet voice. "Big brother, did Mommy ask you to take care of me?"

Mommy? When did Bayonetta have a child? Judging by this little girl's appearance, she could not have been born more than a few years ago!

Salomon felt incredibly awkward. Not only had Bayonetta's combat prowess caught his attention, but he had never cared for a child before.
