Salomon's injured lungs kept him coughing. Every word he spoke was accompanied by bloody foam rising from his lungs, but he was not too worried. Magic could solve this problem. Even if he had no time to prepare spell components, the scrolls he had copied long ago could still save his life.

Bayonetta carried him as she leaped onto a massive falling stone slab. The Witch's magic gave the slab artificial gravity, allowing both Salomon and herself to stand firmly upon it.

"Throw me out." Salomon took out a small bottle of alcohol and poured it into his mouth, suppressing the urge to cough as he swallowed the sticky, sweet, fishy iron taste of blood along with it. His throat and stomach felt as though they were on fire. Before the alcohol could cloud his mind, Salomon recited a spell and cast magic upon himself.

This was the result of Salomon's study of necromancy. The spell Mimic Life allowed him to use Negative Energy to stop the bleeding and make later treatment easier. The magic could last for an hour, enough time for Salomon to prepare for treatment.

He coughed out the last blood clot and said to Bayonetta, "Throw me out. The rest is your fight. As for Cereza... she can't interfere with you now. You can do whatever you want..."

Seeing that Salomon had returned to normal, Bayonetta's tone returned to its usual manner as well. "Big sister will take care of everything, little brother. Just relax. You've done enough."

Bayonetta glanced at the rapidly approaching figure below, grabbed Salomon by the collar of his Holy Shroud, and kissed the Arcanist on the face.
