A violent explosion erupted in Jubileus's Left Eye. She let out a pained howl and reached up with her left hand to cover it. But the awakened Bayonetta leaped out of the Left Eye before she could, weaving her magic back into a black skintight bodysuit as she landed beside Jeanne. With her power thrown out of balance, Jubileus's Left Eye exploded again, vast quantities of blood covering half of her body.
"Foolish!" Balder's voice spoke through Jubileus's mouth. "You... Look at what you've done!"
A gigantic blue sword appeared in Jubileus's left hand. Balder controlled her as she swung the dreadful weapon at Bayonetta and Jeanne. As she chopped the floating rocks into fragments, Bayonetta and Jeanne leaped away, and the near-zero gravity sent them drifting continuously toward space.
Bayonetta tried to attack again, but the Gomora she summoned had its head easily severed by Jubileus's sword. "Looks like ordinary pets won't do," she said helplessly.
