Background and History
The Kree created Hydra as a controller for their genetically engineered Inhumans. Groups that benefited from the Kree’s experiments formed the first Hydra society and maintained its worship through blood sacrifices and rituals. The Malick family traced its lineage to a close retainer of Hydra 1761 1762.
Hydra was exiled to another planet, where it could consume organic matter and release nanoscopic parasites. Gideon Malick said he had seen it devour an alien civilization and leave its planet barren 1762. Much later, the Emperor told Stephanie Malick that the creature had been destroyed.
