Upon arriving at the entrance of the Soul Hunting Forest, Director Su and the guards presented their permits before leading the group inside.

The Soul Hunting Forest is divided into many regions, and today we are heading toward the Blazing Mountain located in the south of the forest.

Most of the soul beasts here are of the fire attribute.

However, the entrance where the group currently stood was in the north of the forest, so they needed to travel deep into the woods for quite some time.

"There are many soul beasts along this path, everyone must not let their guard down!" Director Su cautioned.

Before his voice had even faded, a low growl suddenly echoed from the path ahead. A giant wolf with a grey body and eerily crimson eyes stood beneath a tree in front of them.

"Everyone, be careful! It's an Iron-Back Wolf! Judging by its size, this wolf is at least three hundred years old!" Director Su shouted.

"How strange. We've only just entered the Soul Hunting Forest, how could we run into a three-hundred-year soul beast? Logically, only low-level soul beasts should be active in the outer perimeter," Mo Hen said.

Chu Qing looked at the grey wolf with its blood-red maw agape, but instead of fear, he felt excitement. He had been wanting to test other characteristics of his Nihility Devouring Flame martial soul, and here was a ready-made test subject!

"Teacher Su, Teacher Mo, could you help me kill this soul beast?" Chu Qing asked.

"But this isn't a fire-attribute soul beast? Although this Iron-Back Wolf is a three-hundred-year soul beast, it doesn't match your own martial soul. You surely don't actually believe in the Grandmaster's theories, do you!" Teacher Su asked in surprise.

"That's right, Little Qing, the choice of your first soul ring must be handled with caution!" Teacher Mo said.

"Indeed, indeed," the other teachers chimed in.

"Rest assured, teachers. I, Chu Qing, would never do anything without certainty! This relates to the martial soul characteristics I mentioned before! I believe you can all see that my martial soul is not an ordinary fire-attribute martial soul, so please trust me this once!" Chu Qing said.

The group thought of the black flame Chu Qing possessed, and looking at his youthful yet determined eyes, they could not help but nod in agreement.

"Since that is the case, we will help you kill this Iron-Back Wolf!"

With that, Director Su summoned his martial soul, the Swift Thunder Sword! Two yellow and one purple soul ring appeared around his body.

The other teachers also summoned their respective martial souls.

Perhaps sensing the shift in the atmosphere, the giant wolf bared its fangs and scanned the group, arching its back in vigilance.

Suddenly! Instead of retreating, it charged toward the group!

Director Su sneered, unafraid. He set his stance and met the giant wolf's attack head-on.

Soon, a shocking sight unfolded. The Iron-Back Wolf's body, several meters long, gradually shrank under the burning of the black flames until, finally, it vanished entirely!

Chu Qing did not notice their gazes; he was slowly sensing the changes in his body. It seemed that certain characteristics of the Iron-Back Wolf had manifested within his own body.

Chu Qing slowly opened his eyes and stretched his limbs, feeling an indescribable sense of fluidity. He looked at a nearby tree that required two people to embrace, clenched his fist, and struck it.

Thud! Crack! First came a muffled impact, followed by the sound of the tree splitting.

The group stared, dumbfounded, at the tree that had collapsed before them, murmuring, "Is this the kind of strength a six-year-old child can possess?"

Chu Qing quickly cupped his hands and said, "Many thanks to all the teachers. I have already learned some characteristics regarding my martial soul."

Director Su was the first to recover from his shock and asked hurriedly, "What exactly is going on here?"

"Teacher, it seems my martial soul can refine the corpses of other soul beasts to temporarily enhance my own physical strength," Chu Qing said vaguely.

"So that's how it is, so that's how it is." Director Su stared blankly at the fallen tree, muttering to himself.

No! I can't be in such a rush to marry off my granddaughter! She's only a bit older than this kid; waiting a few years is fine! Director Su thought to himself.

This child already possessed Innate Full Soul Power, and with such a bizarre and powerful martial soul, his future achievements would be absolutely limitless!

The other teachers also looked at Chu Qing with very strange expressions.

In truth, what Chu Qing did not tell them was that the Nihility Devouring Flame martial soul was capable of much more than that.

Theoretically, fire-attribute martial souls were meant for ranged combat and could not strengthen the physical body. However, through his experiment, he discovered that after the Nihility Devouring Flame refined an opponent, it could help his physical body improve! It could even grant him some of the abilities of the creature he devoured!
